Within the Security department at Booking.com, Security Services protects from financial loss and brand damage by strategically securing channels; assets, customers, employees, partners, brand reputation, transaction, integrity, and infrastructure - through the use of world class technical capabilities that appropriately balance the management of risk with the impact to global business operations.
We are currently looking for a Senior Manager to lead our Threat Management capability area. In this role, you will lead our strategic efforts to optimize our global threat management program. This leadership role will provide a holistic, strategic overview of key overarching security programs, such as the cyber, fraud, and health & safety maturity programs. This role is a unique leadership role, as it also helps drive strategy for Booking Holdings to create more collaboration and integration of these programs with sister brands and identify cost efficiencies.
The Senior Manager - Threat Management is responsible for providing threat-driven input and for helping drive the prioritization and alignment efforts of multiple Security teams to ensure that Booking defends against, protects, and responds to the most prevalent security threats to our employees, guests, and partners globally.
Key mission of the Threat Management capability is to drive the security strategy by showcasing Booking Holdings’ threat profile, reviewing Booking’s security posture and informing security’s prioritization. The Senior Manager - Threat Management will help mature the Threat Management capability’s deliverables by driving the following:
The facilitation of overarching security maturity programs for all key security areas within Booking.com (cyber, fraud, health & safety) and the performance of strategic threat assessments.
The expansion of the current Booking.com security assurance program to include more iterations and more diverse assurance activities . Internal security assurance operations will also be introduced and expanded as needed.
The efforts of driving a common, cross-company Threat intelligence program spanning across Booking Holdings to create efficiencies, facilitate cost savings, and support a threat intelligence driven security strategy across the Group.
Provide a 3-year strategic roadmap for the Threat Management area, including Threat Intelligence, Threat Analysis, and Security Assurance.
Drive the Security-wide maturity programs, providing visibility in the current maturity level of our cyber and fraud operations and our current posture compared to our target maturity state.
Deliver Threat Assessments for new and key existing technical systems and processes, providing a clear overview of their threat posture and the risks that they introduce to our environment.
Drive a complete, end-to-end security assurance program with a range of internally and externally performed engagements, including purple teams, red teams, attack path maps, and other best practice assessments.
Work with security leaders cross-company (Holdings level) to design and implement the threat intelligence program that will enable further collaboration, efficiency, and cost optimization opportunities.
Work with Security leaders across the Booking Holdings organization to provide support and guidance for key initiatives from a Threat Management perspective.
Coaching your team(s) on and role model the Booking values on Think Customer First, Own It, Learn Forever, Succeed Together, and Do the Right Thing.
Identify & drive initiatives effectively involving multiple stakeholders, re-prioritizing tasks to maximize ROI and overall security posture.
Provides measurable input in defining the direction of new products, processes, or operational plans with some impact on business unit results.
Apply a professional discipline combining deep knowledge of theory and organizational practice or expertise across several different disciplines within a function or several different job areas across functions
Identifies opportunities to capture synergies on tactical response efforts and effectively manage vendors, training needs, projects, programs, initiatives, communications, and technical services.
Manages program schedules and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective results.
5+ years experience across security domain areas such as threat analysis, maturity capability programs, security posture, security risk assessment, threat intelligence.
Knowledge of frameworks such as PCI, SOX, NIST, ITIL and GDPR is advantageous
Demonstrated leadership skills under fast-paced, highly dynamic situations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
