We are currently looking for a Senior Manager Global Resilience. The position reports to our Global Resilience team, situated within the Global Security & Resilience org, and is tasked with building Bookings’ resilience across all the organization. As part of the Global Resilience team, encompassing incident and crisis management and business continuity, the new Senior Manager - Group Resilience will be vital in translating CM/ BC strategy, policy, and planning to our stakeholders across the organization. You will be instrumental in leveraging the heightened awareness around resiliency to deliver a best-in-class CM / BC program in a dynamic, challenging, and rewarding environment. This role will lead the overall Crisis Management portfolio from Booking.com and supports the wider Holding brands Incident Management process where needed. Next, this role will join the current BC PM and help lay the foundational elements needed such as risk assessments, business impact assessments, BCM governance, and compliance.
This position requires a high degree of flexibility, independence, and the ability to problem-solve. The ideal candidate will be comfortable adapting to ambiguity and have a proven track record of sound decision making and delivering results in a leadership role.
As Senior Manager - Global Resilience you will create industry leading vision and strategy, scale operations, develop resilience talent, and develop robust operational protocols, policies and standards that ensures a cohesive, consistent and uniformed global programs. As overall Resilience portfolio lead you will chair the Crisis Management team, hold corporate-center table-top exercises, conduct regional and site level training and, at times, act as regional crisis manager in the event of an emergency or disaster; support the company’s business continuity program via utilization of globally-recognized crisis management and business continuity management system standards/framework.

You drive strategic decisions related to the global resilience services roadmap and optimize the team products, processes and approach.
You will ensure all levels of the organization understand how to prepare for, avoid, respond to, recover and learn from major incidents impacting Booking, globally. Operating with little supervision, you will work with regional and executive leaders and provide leadership, structure, guidance and recommendations to enable the right response at the right time.
Develops a scalable operation model to include the strategy, roadmap, goals, objectives and staffing; Identifies opportunities to capture synergies on operational efforts and effectively manage Global Resilience vendors, training needs, projects, programs, initiatives, communications and technical services.
Develops reporting capabilities within the team to provide additional, data-informing resources to the wider GSR team. Identifies reporting and data management needs to strategically support CM program and project management, training deployment and services.
Provide longer term strategic and planning support for 2025 vision on technology and/or operational strategies for the business unit.
Coordinate and manage the company’s tactical and strategic response to major incidents, 24/7 - 365
Accountable to enhance the maturity of the BC program to align with ISO 22301 and NIST requirements
Manage external vendor and contracts, ensuring maximum ROI; Resilience tooling like; Fusion, Everbridge crisis communication etc.
Builds strong cross-functional partnerships across senior leadership, the security team by communicating team goals, wins and opportunities to maximize safe and secure work environments.
Be an effective Change Manager, leading the team through periods of change, displaying motivating and encouraging behaviors.
5-10 years leadership, management, mentoring and coaching experience within an international company, ideally tech or e-commerce
8+ years experience leading global resilience teams or mission critical operations teams at a high tech company where 24/7 availability is required and successfully executing implementation in complex, fluid environment - with an emphasis on mentoring and coaching.
Experience working across countries and cultures, demonstrating leadership and driving consistency;
First-class project management, highly organized and focused on prioritization, planning, tracking, and coordination across teams with strong attention to detail in a fast-moving, high pressured environment
Strong track record of thinking strategically and executing tactically
Experienced in change management and scaling organizations
Deep knowledge of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management across the whole security landscape
Self-motivated and independent thinker, willing to challenge and be challenged in a constructive (and non-defensive) manner; strongly customer centric; demonstrably values led and highly ethical
Familiarity in implementing CM Mass Communication tooling (Everbridge) and BC management systems (Fusion).
CPP and/or Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII), Business Continuity Institute (BCI), or other Crisis Management and Business Continuity professional certification is a pre.
Must be available to respond to incident outside normal working hours 24/7 - 365
