    Working in our Europe development center in Eindhoven means working in an international team with onsite people as well as team members located in other parts of the world. You’ll be working on projects and implementations of systems used in countries around the world and be part of a large community of agile teams. A lot of project communication is done through video so travel is limited and based on need.
    What we’re looking for
    For our Europe development center in Eindhoven we’re looking for Senior Application Developers that are able to work on enterprise type applications that are used across the world.
    As a developer at UPS you work on delivering functionality for highly complex IT Systems. You collaborate in an agile team together with other agile teams and participate in emerging technologies and processes like CI/CD and DevOps to ensure effective and efficient achievement of objectives. Your primary role is to perform full system life cycle activities (e.g. analysis, technical requirements, design, coding, testing and the implementation of software).

    • You work in an agile team towards the goals agreed to, ensuring the work delivered is professional and up to agreed standards

    oAnalysis of requirements

    oProvide designs matching the underlying frameworks and concepts

    oBuild efficient, testable code units

    oIdentify and integrate shared software pieces to produce expected deliverables

    oProvide unit tests as part of the code

    oGuide and coach junior team members

    • Lead peer reviews to ensure requirements are met
    • Works with the CI/CD pipeline, perform build processing and application delivery
    • Support build-up of the backlog for the future releases in weekly planning meetings, decide on workload and discuss design topics.
    • Ensure your work conforms to quality and content standards.
    What do we expect of you?

    • Education: minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Systems Management or Information technology
    • 8+ years of IT experience in various development positions with at least 3 years as senior developer on the Microsoft tech stack
    • Proven experience in software engineering technologies (Visual Studio, C#, Client-Server, SQL Server, XML, JSON and HTML)
    • Working experience in an agile environment
    • Proven experience with structured SDLC and work estimation techniques
    • Knowledge of RDL(C) reporting is desirable
    • Good skills in frameworks like MVVM, MVC and SOLID
    • Working experience on DI/IoC as well as experience in unit testing using NUnit or Microsoft frameworks augmented with mock supporting objects.
    • Experienced in Windows Forms and WPF.
    • Analytical and problem solving skills, motivated self-learner with a drive to deepen your understanding of the fields assigned to.
    • Being able to mentor others
    • Scrum master certificate desirable
