    Senior Data Analyst

    As a Senior Data Analyst, you will transform data into actionable information, using data visualization to tell a story that informs our partners and internal customers across IDEXX. You will be assigned database and analytical initiatives, projects and programs of a complex nature in which analysis requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.

    The CAG (Companion Animal Group) Data Analytics’ Team is a part of the newly formed Global Shared Services team.

    We’ve just begun the exciting journey of expanding our team globally, consolidating and standardizing data, analytics and best practices. This includes working with many other teams as we also move to a new global CRM, ServiceCloud, and data repository, Snowflake.

    The team primarily uses SAS Enterprise Guide as our ETL tool and Tableau for visualization, supplemented by various other applications such as Excel, Business Objects and PowerPoint. As we move to a new, standardized data source, we’re looking forward to creating global dashboards and reports that inform and enlighten our organization about our Customer’s experience and our product’s performance.

    Our team of 7 data analysts is a terrific group of individuals who love to collaborate, solve problems, share learnings and assist both each other and the many people we work with across the company. We provide information and recommendations critical to the business, and strive to continuously improve.     In this role:

      You will design, implement, and deliver standard and ad hoc reports to support customer-focused, data-driven analysis.
      You will liaise with internal customers and business partners to monitor and provide customer feedback data from Customer Support.
      You will present your data stories, analysis and recommendations to business leadership teams.
      You will develop knowledge of customer information systems, and recommend ways to leverage systems to drive customer-focused, data-driven analysis.
      You will share your knowledge and experience through mentoring Data Analysts.
      You will drive for continuous improvement in database reporting and analysis processes.

    What do you need to succeed?

      You have Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics and Statistics or a similar subject area.
      Or you have experience in quantitative analysis, data visualization and database management in lieu of education in relevant disciplines.
      You have strong knowledge of data, databases, data warehousing and ETL techniques.
      You code in languages such as SQL, Java, Python or R.
      You have a solid understanding of good graphical display standards and graphical techniques.
      You are a good presenter; you can turn analysis into a compelling visual story.
      You are comfortable coaching and mentoring team members.
      You love processes and have a continuous improvement mindset.
      You are a fast learner and can leverage various software tools and systems.
      You are great at collaboration.
      You have superior organizational skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks.
      You inherently have excellent customer service skills.
      You are fluent in English and can hear English across multiple accents.

    The following experiences would be considered an advantage:

      Experience with SAS, Tableau and/or Business Intelligence.
      Experience with SalesForce.com and/or ServiceCloud.
      Experience with Contact Center metrics and IVR/Software such as Genesys, Avaya or Nice(IEX).
      Experience working in an international and diverse environment.
