Senior Commercial Excellence Specialist - Pricing
The Commercial Excellence team within Central Partner Services has a mission to deliver the right supply to maximize the Commercial value for Booking and its partners. An important driver for this is Pricing, and ensuring that the we are bringing the right proposition to the market via the right channel mix, to the right partners, at the right time.
As Senior Commercial Excellence Specialist, you will help achieve Pricing objectives set out by the Accommodations Business Unit. You will help set, execute and evaluate a consistent and coherent Pricing partner proposition strategy globally via our channels (Digital channels, Local Account Management teams (LPS), and Connectivity partners).
This role will connect all Partner Services relevant Pricing projects and commercial activities into one coherent approach. It will connect to central Pricing teams to make the end to end approach a success for Booking and its partners. This role is closely connected to the Sr CES Supply role in the same team as well as analysts to deliver Commercial insights. This role reports into the Senior Manager - Commercial Performance.
A high level of leadership, stakeholder management, ownership and sound business knowledge is mandatory. Entrepreneurial, self-starter with knowledge or experience developing eCommerce, Distribution functions would be a plus. Expect to interact daily with roles across the organization, from Support through to the Leadership Team.
What you'll do:
- Agree on global objectives with Pricing team Accommodations, and translate those to PS and GEO/channel objectives and commercial KPIs.
- Agree on and translate global Pricing strategy to global and local tactical Pricing plans, including managing the determination of the channel mix, partner focus, steering mechanisms and operationalization.
- Lead to execution
- Monitor and steer on Pricing performance within and cross channels.
- Integrate Pricing Opportunities into the tactical plans (Managed by Tactical planning team).
- Leading the overall Pricing execution by creating an integral approach across PS activities
- Contribute to the commercial performance cycle, including feedback loops to Pricing and Supply product teams
- Priority and performance of the Partner Services contribution to Central Pricing projects
- Priority and performance Partner Services Pricing related projects like Partner Journeys, optimization tooling, channel steering
- Priority and performance of Tactical Pricing Campaigns
Who you are and what you have done:
- 5+ years of Pricing and Revenue Management and knowledge
- Experienced in project management
- Distribution experience
- Strategic thinking
- Strong Commercial drive and ownership
- Understanding of eCommerce platforms & marketplaces
- Strong numerical ability & good analytical skills
- Strong communicator & stakeholder management
- Ability to critically review and analyze complex problems and situations
- Ability to lead & influence across functions & business units
- Understanding of time-limited revenue generation
- Knowledge of the travel/accommodation industry advantageous
