    Senior Care Business Partner, Government Contract Execution (GCE) – EUR/AFR

    As a Senior Care Business Partner, you will be responsible for the customer experience by coordinating the end-to-end execution of all US Government products regionally. Colleagues will be responsible for working directly with customers and vendors to provide premier service while maintaining compliance with the various US Government contracts.

    Key responsibilities

    • Ensure smooth execution of cargo moving for US Government container shipping customers, including the US Military, Food Aid, Military Household Goods, US Government Project shippers & Foreign Military Sales, with a focus on customer satisfaction and end-to-end execution from booking through delivery. Colleagues will work to maintain an excellent customer service and operational relationship with local US Government representatives and US Government agents in the designated geographical area.
    • Drive incremental cargo volume through excellent customer service relationship.
    • Drive continuous improvements opportunities and opportunities to lower costs.
    • Learn and understand the various US Military administrative and data systems, and utilize these systems as directed to meet the contractual commitments of the various US Government cargo segments.
    • Coordinate with the GCE back-office team in Chennai to monitor and ensure proper administrative and operational functions associated with regional US Government operations.
    • Tasks will include executing / overseeing the following:

    o Booking of all types of US Government Cargo (US Military, Food Aid, Military House Hold Goods, US Project Cargo, and Foreign Military Sales)
    o End-to-end cargo tracking and reporting for US Government Cargo
    o End-to-end documentation coordination for US Government Cargo
    o Close communication with global intermodal and operational teams to ensure compliant handling of US Government cargo
    o Documentation of causation of delays and inaction and input to US Military systems
    o End-to-end monitoring of Maersk Line execution for US Government Cargo
    o Provide input to development of Global SOPs for US Flag cargo
    o Monitor agreed service levels, and identify the root cause when targets are not met, advise management of potential service failures and / or trends.
    o Coordinate Issue resolution within specified region
    o Drive process improvement and support the Maersk Line Cultural Amplifiers and Values
    o Coordinate closely with vendors across Break Bulk, Out of Gauge, Container Stuffing Facilities, and Inland Operational Execution ensuring all requirement documentation details and status reporting are in place enabling effective and efficient performance with defined deadlines. Responsible to escalate any vendor performance challenges to leadership for immediate review and resolution.

    • Work to develop a clear understanding of contract and operational requirements, and the means by which services will be executed and documented in conformance with all contract and statutory requirements.
    • Identify and escalate to management, and to GCE leadership and NAMLAW, any potential compliance issues (e.g. contract interpretations, operational execution challenge, invoicing, etc.) and assist to track issues until resolution
    • Drive Care process, proactive cargo management, Pro Care skill development and Care reviews with customers.

    We are looking for

    Education and Experience:
    • HBO / Bachelor degree
    • 1-2 years’ of functional experience in the Transportation Industry
    • Customer Service / Operational experience
    • Experience with government entities is a plus
