In this role, you have the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary system architecture team with the assignment to define and lead the network and security architecture for Image Guided Therapy Systems (Interventional X-Ray systems). You align the IT and security roadmap, PC/OS policies, OS deployment policy with key stakeholders in Service and Product Marketing. Together with your colleague system architects, you guide implementation by product development teams.
You are responsible for
Define scope and problem domain in a crisp and structured way: defining the problem with stakeholders and identifying key issues.
Deliver a consolidated architecture: creating well-defined building blocks / system options & scenarios; choosing the optimal architecture, leveraging technology and contributing to/driving roadmaps, establishment of control points (IP).
Ensure good and up to date documentation of the architecture and implementation thereof; using methods & tools for a structured approach.
Driving an accepted implementation of architecture, by explaining, convincing, deciding; incl. validation and verification; solving issues and learning from them; architecture lifecycle management; teaming-up for results.
Act within the total context, (business, organization, roadmaps, external world, etc.): driving for convergence; capturing / re-use of prior art and in- and external trends; know your stuff;
You are a part of the Business Unit Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Systems within Philips Healthcare with development sites in the Netherlands and India. This Business Unit is responsible for marketing, service, development and manufacturing of IGT systems used in the area of cardiac and vascular medical diagnosis and intervention. The customers are hospitals and their medical specialists. You will join the global R&D System Architecture department, which report into the Strategic Architect and consists of 9 system architects based in both India and The Netherlands.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Knowledge & Critical Experiences:
Someone with knowledge and experience in the healthcare IT domain is preferred.
Master in Engineering discipline (IT, Software, Mathematics or Electronics)
Knowledge of modern architecting approaches, tools.
Knowledge of relevant development methodologies and (business) processes
Knowledge of IT and security domain, competitive situation and relevant core technologies
Knowledge of Medical and Security regulations
Solid engineering background
Having shown to be able to align with multiple E2E stakeholders
Having addressed architectural aspects on subsystem / mono-disciplinary level
Having worked in a leading technical role in development projects
Competences:
Demonstrating business acumen;
Good Stakeholder management;
Seeks connection with Service managers and IT managers to translate the needs of hospitals to network architectures and requirements for our products
Ability to work with senior management as well as engineers
Analytical skills; Architectural thinking and creation; Switching from helicopter to detailed view;
Documenting/modeling of the architecture.
Influencing skills; Team player; Networking skills; Negotiation skills.
Managing uncertainties
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and in face-to-face conversations in English.
