Do you want to work with the most engaging and the highest rated B2B App in the travel industry? Over 1.2 million accommodation partners use our mobile app to manage their day in life, such as daily property, availability and guest needs. We want to continue building on this solid foundation for the next stage of our growth. You will be an integral member of our Partner Apps Team in the Selection & Supply Technology department. The key topics the team is focused on are:
Scaling of the component-based and server-driven UI framework;
Helping with, and maintaining a completely modularised mobile codebase;
Contributing to the building of a quality development toolchain;
Building the next level product features helping our partners and guests;
Consulting and involvement in the redesigning of our massive mobile app backend.
Build and deliver app-wide features, systems and services - regardless of the technology and programming language;
Identify and escalate flaws and potential issues of app-related infrastructure;
Continuously improve services they own making them more performant, and utilising resources in the most optimised way;
Lead initiatives for improvement of development processes and business opportunities for your team’s product and the company as a whole;
Identify, foster, and proactively help colleagues to grow professionally, taking a significant role in on-boarding new team members;
Represent Booking.com values both in the company and in the external community;
Advocate a collaborative working environment - make “my ideas” into “our ideas”;
Lead, manage and resolve technical or design discussions or conflicts;
Contribute to Booking.com's growth through interviewing, on-boarding, or other recruitment efforts.
We expect our developers to know the ins and outs of the Android framework and to deliver polished products customers want to use. We need self-starters who are great at solving problems, initiate solutions and discussions and are not afraid of solving challenges due to our large scale.
We have found that people who match the following requirements are the ones who fit us best:
10+ years of experience as a developer Java and/or Kotlin and other languages;
At least 6 years of this experience must be from working with Android SDK;
Experience with automated testing and deployment of Android apps;
Experience in solving technical challenges of a whole new level at large scale;
Strong communication and stakeholders management skills;
Proven experience mentoring Developers and sharing knowledge with a mobile community of 100+ Engineers;
Self-motivated to explore new technologies, applications and environments
Experience with Google Play Store & Apps Distribution Process;
An approved Play Store app;
Experience with server-driven UI framework development;
Experience working with A/B testing;
You have an intrinsic curiosity in technological innovations and you are always on top of the latest trends.
