Working as a Security Ops Engineer for the Business Unit Connected Home, you will be part of the Philips Hue R&D team alongside software developers for one of the largest commercial IoT systems. Our customers should be able to rely on new functions while maintaining security, stability, and high performance. To achieve this, we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Security Ops Engineer that can work with the latest techniques and practices in the world of networked devices and agile software development.
As a Security Ops Engineer you will drive the development of new security capabilities to support delivery and ensure that the tools and approaches used are effective. This role will give you the opportunity to get hands on and build security into cloud infrastructure. You will take a proactive role in securing the digital environment to ensure effective root-cause and trend analysis of security threats and issues, liaising effectively with interested stakeholders, provide key performance indicators to R&D management, and ensure lessons learnt. You will be required to challenge and propose changes to existing processes where they do not contribute to the rapid delivery of a secure service.
What you'll do
Perform security (self) assessments.
Build dashboards and monitors for security alerting.
Investigate potential threats and risks.
Implement security policies.
Support external PEN-tests being conducted and review results.

What you'll need
Driven with a passion for security and cloud networking.
Software development and scripting skills.
Demonstrable experience with the Google Cloud Platform security framework.
Demonstrable experience with the Amazon Web Services security framework.
Knowledge of the concepts of information security, data protection, and information risk principles and technologies.
Knowledge of security monitoring, prevention and control systems including anti-virus, web proxies, application firewalls, and security software.
Good verbal and written English with excellent communication skills.
