The EMEA Sample Prep TSS Manager has global responsibility for the sales in EMEA for the Sample Prep products. He is responsible for leading and driving a comprehensive commercial strategy and achieving sales results for the Sample Prep business in EMEA by implementing business unit strategy aligned with the region needs and sales processes, hiring, retaining and developing key talent, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our customers and channel partners and working closely with all functions to drive customer value and satisfaction.

The successful candidate will assimilate and leverage Thermo Fisher tools, infrastructure, and operating principles into the business, while building a regional business strategy specifically leveraging our key capabilities.
The successful candidate will manage a virtual European team of 6 team members. The candidate will ensure alignment of strategy and focus with the Inside Sales TSS manager and the Molecular Biology TSS Manager within the region.
Manage the Sample Prep business, consistently executing against both top and bottom line financial metrics. Achieve or exceed the sales plan by supporting the Inside Sales team members to close technical sales in Sample Prep products, developing incremental business in existing accounts, and conducting cold calls to develop new opportunities for the focus products.
Develops specific Commercial business plans for the region in conjunction with Marketing and aligned with the Global Business unit in the US.
Has full responsibility for the achievement of revenue plans for the EMEA Region including direct sales channel, e-business and any distribution channels for the Sample Prep portfolio.
Build a high-performance team by hiring, developing and engaging highly talented and motivated employees.
Identify innovative and creative ways to protect the businesses. Promote productivity within the Business Unit.

How will you get there?
Degree level education preferably Life Science related. PhD would be a plus.
Previous experience of having worked in a lab preferred.
General knowledge of product portfolio
Good Computer literacy
A high degree of travel across the EMEA Region will be expected from this role.
The individual should have a strong track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Experience of working in a heavily matrixed environment is preferable. This position will require an individual that is results oriented, highly motivated to succeed, operates with an extreme sense of urgency, has an excellent work ethic and maintains the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
