The Reliability engineer will work to improve equipment reliability in 4 areas:
Safety: Set the example for others regarding Zero Incident Mindset with particular emphasis on eliminating unplanned reliability events.Perform incident and root cause failure investigations as assigned and incorporate learnings into reliability program when appropriate
Rotating equipment: Implement the existing pump and compressor reliability program. Improve the Mean Time Between Failure of site pumps via workshops and RCAs on bad actors, by improving the site pump seal management process and pump laser alignment.
Fixed equipment/Mechanical integrity: Oversee the use of the newly purchased Risk Based Inspection software tool to develop and implement the site’s RBI program, in particular for Pipeline inspections. Improve the existing inspection and repair programs for other fixed equipment.
Packaging machinery: Improve the reliability of the site’s existing pastillation and packaging facilities. Complete the start-up and move to routine operation of the site’s new $10M pastillation and packaging facility, including developing preventive maintenance programs.
The Reliability engineer will use data from technician out-of-hours call-outs, ‘Stable Operations’ downtime data, SAP equipment repair cost reports and Priority 1 & A work orders to select equipment items to conduct RCAs, workshops and improvement efforts on. This position reports to the Engineering and Maintenance manager and interfaces in particular with the Maintenance manager, Maintenance engineer, Production engineers, Maintenance specialists and technicians.
Required Degree / Education:
Minimum Bachelor or Masters degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with strong reliability background
Reliability engineering certifications (CRE, CMRP) and professional engineering licenses are a plus.
Specific Skills/Experience Desired:
Fluent in Dutch and English with ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely
Minimum 5 years of chemical plant experience
Experience with ASME B31.3, ASME BPVC, NBIC, and API 653 is a plus.
