Regional Operations Manager (Automation), Uber Eats - EMEA

    About the Role

The Regional Operations Manager (Automation) role is a unique opportunity to help the EMEA Eats business continue to scale rapidly while still maintaining high efficiency. You will be responsible for identifying strategic, scalable processes with local operation teams to automate and execute end-to-end across the region. With clear goals of driving efficiencies (headcount and spend) and improving the customer experience, you'll have flexibility in figuring out the top projects we need to be prioritizing as a region.

Technical capabilities are a must as most of the team's projects are written in Python. There will be continuous opportunities to work with HQ product teams to transition many of your projects or insights for further product development.

This team needs to be opportunistic, identifying not only current processes but also think outside the box for new ideas that can be built to accelerate growth, increase profitability, or improve the customer experience.

    What You'll Do

    • Working with central & country team stakeholders to understand potential inefficiencies in their processes. Strategically identify what can be automated.
    • Be able to build prototypes quickly. And iterate over solutions.
    • Be able to manage and maintain a number of automation solutions at the same time.
    • Using python to interact with users via interfaces like Gsheets or Slack Bots.
    • Be able to use internal and external APIs correctly and efficiently.

    What You'll Need

    • At least 3 years of experience as an IT technical analyst, data scientist, data analyst in consulting or tech.
    • Proficient programming skills in Python or other similar programming languages.
    • Stakeholder management skills : Proficiency in engaging with non-technical stakeholders.
    • Problem solving : Being able to tackle issues that involve people, things, and processes by using logic, common sense and data. Identifying the root cause of a problem as opposed to focusing on the symptoms.
    • Ability to handle fast changing environments and keep delivering impactful code.

At Uber, we ignite opportunity by setting the world in motion. We take on big problems to help drivers, riders, delivery partners, and eaters get moving in more than 10,000 cities around the world.

We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, work with us, and let's move the world forward, together.
