    Ramp Employee at Schiphol

    The RAMP Employee is one of the most important shackles in the handling process of an aircraft. After all, who is the passenger without his suitcase? And, what is an aircraft without any cargo? That's why we need you!

    As a Ramp Employee, you will be responsible for loading/unloading luggage and freight. You'll follow strict procedures and agreements that apply on the platform. As a Ramp Employee Advanced at Swissport, you don't mind working outside and you are willing to work irregular hours. Together with your colleagues, you'll ensure fast and safe ground handling every day!

    Upon commencement of employment, you'll immediately kick off your training as an all-around employee; with this training in your pocket, you can also operate various Ground Service Equipment (GSE). Upon proven suitability, there are various career opportunities that could apply to you. For example Operator, Pushback/Tow tractor, and Foreman Ramp.

    A Ramp Employee Advanced is flexible and likes to work hard in a dynamic working environment, where every minute counts. We are looking for someone who is stress-resistant, ambitious and wants to get started at Schiphol. We consider the following points important:

    • You are available at least for 30 hours per week, spread over 5 days (work is done by a work schedule);
    • You are available from Monday to Sunday, also on public holidays;
    • You own a valid driving license (B)!
    • You are a team player with a sense of humor.
    • You are physically strong and able to do heavy work, say goodbye to your gym subscription!;
    • You hold the values SAFETY and QUALITY of paramount importance and act accordingly;
    • You can combine an irregular schedule (day, night, and weekend shifts) with your daily activities;
    • You have a good command of the Dutch or English languages.
    • To obtain the Schiphol Pass you must have lived in Europe for more than 8 years

    A hectic and responsible job in a unique workplace.Once you get accepted we can immediately offer you a contract. After receiving your Schiphol pass, you will start with a paid course.

    • You can count on a working week of at least 30 hours, so please take into account that irregularities, evenings, and weekends are normal (surcharges will of course be charged).
    • The salary indication is between €1,696.46 to €1,933.94, based on a full-time employment contract, depending on your knowledge and experience.With the irregularity allowance, the salary can rise to more than €15.00 per hour!
    • You can also count on 25 vacation days, a travel allowance, and an attractive pension scheme (which you won't find everywhere nowadays!).
