    Public Relations Manager

    The Public Relations Manager supports IDEXX’s business and brand objectives through execution of PR plans, developing media relationships, monitoring and media outreach. This role will support IDEXX’s global PR strategy with a focus on Europe.

    Responsibilities in the role:

      Provide regional insights to support the Sr. Public Relations Manager on the development of PR strategies and execution plans.
      Supports the Sr. Public Relations Manager in the creation of processes and policies to ensure efficiency in handling crisis communications and PR issues across the organization.
      Develop media relations in Europe with veterinary trade, business publications, and local outlets in key countries.
      Oversee media outreach in Europe that supports product-level announcements and community building initiatives.
      Manage PR strategy and outreach for IDEXX’s OPTI and Livestock, Poultry, Dairy divisions, in consult with the Sr. Public Relations Manager.
      Support the localization of PR and brand communications for key countries in Europe.
      Manage and protect IDEXX’s reputation globally through online listening and the monitoring of incoming media requests.

    What you will need to succeed:

      Bachelors degree, preferably in communications or related field.
      2+ years of experience in Public Relations.
      Fluent in French or German, as well as English.
      Strong grasp of PR fundamentals including drafting content for traditional media and social channels, building media lists, pitching, and research.
      Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
      Ability to exercise high judgment in narrow time-frames.
      An entrepreneurial spirit, including the ability to work independently and autonomously.
      Personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
      Extensive sitting, phone and computer use
      Some travel may be required
