As a Project Manager in the Commercial team, you will manage entire project lifecycle from kickoff to implementation under the Global Commercial Systems program partnering closely with IT Project Management.
The IDEXX Global Commercial Systems team is committed to delivering technology solutions to our internal Sales and Support teams striving for a personalized customer experience, ease of doing business with IDEXX while meeting productivity goals across our channels. We support nearly 2,800 users spread over 80 countries and 13 systems for our Companion Animal Group.
In this role:
You will build project plans (with Workstream Lead input) ensuring the necessary deliverables are included while meeting the strategic objectives of the business.
You will manage projects under the Commercial Systems program.
You will identify issues and risks and track effective mitigation strategies.
You will identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes both within the PMO and external partners within the organization.
You will coordinate with various business areas staffing of the projects.
You will manage project stakeholders: core team, workstream leads and others.
You will coordinate activities and ensures effective communication within the project team.
You will lead meetings and participant communications to drive decisions and action items.
You will provide for effective escalation and resolution of issues and concerns.
You will report regularly report to stakeholders on successes, concerns, milestones, resolved issues etc.
What does Success Look Like:
Day 1 – You are enthusiastic, willing to understand the role and absorb the content and eagerly jump in. You are self-sufficient and can organize meet-and-greet meetings.
Day 30 – you understand the program and begin management of enhancements and contributing to the reports.
Day 90 – you will run an enhancement initiative with oversight of your manager.
Day 365 – you will run all the enhancement initiatives under the program
What You Will Need to Succeed:
With a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent, you have experience in managing projects in multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams.
You have strong project management skills and knowledge portfolio and project management tools.
You have a strong understanding of business and its needs.
You are good at establishing and maintaining a high-level of customer trust and confidence.
You are an expert in setting and managing customers’ expectations
You can lead and motivate others without authority.
You are great solving problems.
You are detail-oriented and can understand the overall Program roadmap.
You excel at verbal and written communication, you can present and explain information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding.
You are a team player with great interpersonal skills and can easily establish rapport with colleagues at all levels.
