Programme Coordinator – DP and CP
The DP/CP Programme Coordinator role is situated in the Learning and Teaching Division and located in The Hague Global Centre. It is an important role that brings professionalism, efficiency and effectiveness to the curriculum review and development process. Its principle responsibility is the operational management of DP and CP to create opportunities for curriculum managers within the team to innovate and provide excellent service to the IB stakeholders (schools, educators, parents and students). The programme coordinator serves as the go-to staff member for the DP/CP team on matters related to operations, budgeting, publishing and delivery.
The post holder works collaboratively with the LT operations team, colleagues within and across all programmes as well as with colleagues from other divisions as applicable.
1.Support budget creation and monitoring of activities for quarterly business review and delivery to create opportunity (resource, time) for business as usual work and innovation work.
2. Coordinate activities within and across programmes and divisions to assure timely and quality delivery of curriculum review to IB stakeholders.
3.Take responsibility for data management to inform programme and curriculum review and development to ensure responsiveness to schools and educators.
4.Monitor stakeholder feedback and liaise with marketing to bring the voice of the customer into review and development decisions
To provide operational support to the two programmes through the entire programme review and development process to ensure effective delivery of the programmes.
Take responsibility for recurring team meetings
Take responsibility for organizing and managing data related to the DP and CP
Take responsibility for creating a roadmap for assigning, negotiating, tracking and managing the review and development of curriculum review products
Manage internal and external requests in a timely and respectful manner
Effectively manage the operations of the DP and CP
Keep internal and external stakeholders abreast of programme activities.
Ensuring timely delivery of initiatives that we have committed to
Supporting and encouraging proper use of project management for programme/curriculum review and development process
Being timely with information sharing with the team to be responsive to both internal and external stakeholders
To support the Head of Programmes (DP and CP) and the two Heads of Curriculum Development ( DP and CP) in other programme initiatives as required.
To track and manage DP and CP programme finances
Taking responsibility for delegated aspects of the departmental budget
Ensuring that the CMs are effectively implementing finance and legal policies for programme/curriculum review and development
Ensuring that team members stay up to date with budget tracking and within the allocated budget
Knowledge and Experience
Substantial administrative experience, preferably in an educational environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional communication
Evidence of ability to adapt, prioritise and respond in a context of competing needs by working in an agile and collaborative manner
Technical and Soft Skills
A high level of written English and good verbal communication skills
A high level of IT skills (word processing, presentation software, data handling, share point, smartsheets)
An ability to prioritize work effectively and to demonstrate an excellent eye for detail and accuracy
An ability to work independently while managing diverse workloads
An understanding of the need for discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters
An ability and interest in taking initiatives to optimise processes
Experience in an educational setting and multi-lingual capability desired but not necessary
Experience of curriculum development, assessment and/or educational research desired but not necessary
Experience of ways of working with digital media
Experience of writing for a range of audiences
Knowledge of IB official languages (French or Spanish), or other languages such as Arabic, Chinese etc. would be considered a plus
