    Program Manager, Investigator & Patient Engagement

    The Program Manager will work in the Global Development, Clinical Engagement and Experience, Investigator & Patient Engagement team.

    To transform the patient and investigator experience in Janssen clinical trials, we will overhaul our patient recruitment and retention approach to create a truly differentiated experience for our clinical trial partners, patients and investigators, that choose to participate in Janssen clinical trials. This change is meant to position our company as a leader in patient-centered clinical trials.

    As the Investigator & Patient Engagement Program Manager, you lead a team to develop indication and disease area aligned strategies to drive patient engagement. You will lead and create solutions that meet the needs and expectations of our patients and sites and drive a meaningful trial experience. You will be responsible for driving and leading patient and investigator initiatives across the portfolio that will enable Janssen to consistently drive increased engagement, in a compliant manner. Identifying new and innovative solutions, across multiple channels, will be essential in delivering a differentiated clinical trial experience.

    Principal Responsibilities:

    Shape & deliver programmatic recruitment, retention, and engagement strategies

    • Collaborate with Patient and Investigator Insights team, Feasibility and Advanced Analytics and all other relevant internal and external partners to establish the key insights and develop the situational / environmental analysis to bring substantial patient and site engagement strategies for the indication area
    • Apply key factors that shape and influence the patient and site experience including the overall landscape for the indication area, network of partners (the care circle)
    • Own and lead development of indication-level insight and data-driven patient and site engagement strategy and drive alignment through key partners (Global Trial Leader (GTL), Study Responsible Physicians (SRP), Global Feasibility Leads (GFL)). Own end-to-end accountability for study success in IPE-related areas; Work in close collaboration with CTM for IPE-related strategy implementation in the regions
    • Proactively identify and activate innovative ways (e.g., potential suppliers and solutions) that align with the patient journey / site experience for indication area

    Leads individual study strategies and runs end-to-end process

    • Independently tailor program-level strategies to fit needs of individual studies
    • Own development of creative brief and study “branding” (e.g., logo, look and feel, descriptive content)
    • Own leadership position as key partner with study team
    • Project manage, coach, and guide Operations Recruitment Managers to drive the seamless delivery and execution of strategies and tactics
    • Partner with Legal, Clinical, Regulatory, Privacy & HCC to ensure solutions / strategies are compliant
    • Influence study / clinical teams as the recruitment, retention and engagement specialist who shapes protocols, deliverables, and interactions

    Accountable for study performance

    • Identify and own key performance indicators (KPI) and return o investment (ROI) metrics to enable Operations Recruitment Managers or TA Analysts to resolve effectiveness of strategies and tactics
    • Understand key challenges and refine strategies and build targeted mitigating actions when vital
    • Conduct lessons learned meeting with key study team members and Program Team Leads to review KPI's and summarize ROI

    Principal Relationships:

    • Engage as key IPE point of contact with cross-functional partners within Global Development (GPL / GTL / RWE / MAO / eBIS / JCI, GCO, etc.), IPE Leadership Team, CI&E (Feasibility and Advanced Analytics), Commercial, Clinical Teams, Patient Insights, JRP and IT

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 7 years of progressive business experience demonstrated and proven performance in strategic marketing and/or clinical operations experience
    • Experience in the following critical competencies is required: Analysis, Strategy Development & Execution, Customer & Market Knowledge, Medical Strategy
    • Must be innovative, proactive, and strong analytically with overall eye for business.

    • MBA or other related advanced degree
    • A biology/scientific background
