This role reports to the Industrial Imaging BU Manager
For the Acoustic Imaging product line within the Fluke Industrial Imaging Business:
The Product Specialist is responsible for providing a deep understanding of end-user and customer needs in Hazardous Environments
Including customer jobs to be done, workflows, hardware & software tools, service requirements, regulatory environment, and business drivers
Links the customer and sales team to the Product and Engineering teams
Fluent in Voice of Customer (VoC) methodology
Understands product feature trade-offs, workflow management, and compensating behaviors
Diagnoses and resolves both technical and product inquiries
In cooperation with Acoustic Imaging Product Manager develops product roadmaps and manages product lifecycles
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer use cases, needs/wants, pain points, user personas, product capabilities, features & benefits, and technology capabilities
Maintain expertise in the ‘why’ and how much a customer values a certain feature or function
Understand how the “why” relates to their other desires on the same product
Conduct VOC to better understand customers’ needs
Provide subject matter expertise and training to customers, sales, channel partners, and internal stakeholders
Act as a liaison between first-line product support and technical support engineering team
Collaborates with other sales and marketing team members to prepare responses to commercial proposals, demo requests
Answers routine questions about products, configuration, and usage of assigned products, related products or solutions
Attend exhibitions show to support product line
Partner with Marketing on collateral and other content development (presentations, web pages, self-guided demos, etc.), as well as on demand-generation activities
Represent the customer on behalf of the business while participating in product development project meetings
Contributes to the product lifecycle process with a commercial focus, from ideation to roadmap, to end of life policies and execution
Monitors competition and global market trends relative to end-use customer offerings and the product’s competitive position

Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Business-related field
Existing network and subject matter expertise in hazardous location workplaces and equipment, e.g. chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas industries
2-4+ years related experience in an in-field, customer-facing roles such as technical services, technical account management, or product management
Demonstrated experience contributing to customer-driven product planning strategies utilizing Voice of the Customer (VOC)
Familiar with ATEX and/or IECEx and/or UL certifications for hazardous atmospheres a plus
Experience working within branded B2B and/or B2C environments with exposure to large-scale projects and cross-functional team leadership
Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization and complex multi-channel marketing environment
Ability to travel nationally & internationally up to 50% of the time
Fluent (C2 level) English, fluency in a second language a plus
