A part of the Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) R&D organization is the Manage Sample Group. This group is responsible for the development of modules related to Sample Manipulation (TEM Stages are state of the art in all its aspects), Sample Transfer (loading and transport under Room and Cryogenic temperature conditions), Sample & System Conditioning (Active vibration isolation systems, Cryogenic systems for cooling etc.), Sample Stimulation (Electrical, heating) etc. Next to it this group is responsible for the Mechatronic and Thermal competences covering all parts of the TEM R&D organization.
As a Product Owner within the Manage Sample group you are the link between the software development teams, the other disciplines in the group and other SW development teams in our R&D organization. You align on priorities with stakeholders from internal projects, Operations, Service, etc., maintain the backlog and cooperate with the scrum development teams to update and refine the backlog. As a product owner you prioritize the Product Backlog such that it reflects the vision for our products.
The software development teams are responsible for delivering of features towards TEM Software and its maintenance and support. The code base is developed in C++/Python. The TEM Software is developed using Microsoft Visual Studio and deployed on a Windows PC.

You will report to the Software Manager R&D of the DB&O / Manage Sample.
As a Product Owner you will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Maintain the backlog in close collaboration with the software development teams
Align with (internal) stakeholders / projects
Approve done work from the development teams
Report progress to stakeholders
Gather functional and system requirements
When you meet the following experience requirements, you could become the Product Owner for our software development teams:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Product Owner
Multiple years of experience in software development related roles in the high-tech industry
Technical background and knowledge; experience in mechatronics domain
Certified Scrum Product Owner / Working in a Scrum team
Fluent in English
