    Product Marketing Manager CDS (IT)

    Join a global team of highly engaged and collaborative software and marketing experts to help drive our continued growth in the analytical science markets. The eCDS product marketing team promotes Chromeleon through impactful marketing programs, sales enablement activities and regular interactions with customers through seminars or targeted 1:1 activities.
    We are looking for a marketing specialist for Chromeleon’s IT networking and cloud capabilities to expand our eCDS team. This role is fully remote based from Western Europe or Eastern/Central United States.
    As the ideal candidate you will

    • Have practical experience of managing a networked (ideally WAN) CDS installation, preferably Chromeleon, from an IT or system administrator perspective.
    • Have working knowledge of cloud models and deployment of applications both IaaS and SaaS
    • Be willing to travel up to 25% of your time
    • Be self-motivated and used to working towards challenging goals
    • Enjoy collaboration and interaction with your team and peers
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Market and promote Chromeleon capabilities to internal and external customers
    • Create high value marketing collateral for defined market segments and application areas with a focus on IT/cloud
    • Develop and deliver agreed marketing tactics on time as defined in the annual marketing plan and Marcom planning calls
    • Be a marketing product expert/champion for sales & marketing, distribution channel, customers, and press, media and industry analysts
    • Develop and deliver sales and support trainings for product positioning and competitive analysis
    • Represent, show and promote Chromeleon to internal and external customers
    Support commercial teams in their sales activities for Chromeleon
    • Become the primary interface for IT and cloud related interactions with the commercial teams and business unit peers
    • Reply to written or phone requests for pre-sales support activities from the commercial team
    • Cooperate with sales support to drive training and product promotion
    • Conduct joint visits with the commercial team to key customers
    Provide market insights, application understanding and sales messaging for specific market segments
    • Be the key subject matter expert and “go-to” person to eCDS peers on all IT/cloud market and application topics
    • Develop competitive position and winning points for Chromeleon Enterprise including IaaS/SaaS software
    • Understand, document and share market and customer needs for defined market segments
    • Understand market/customer dynamics to lead portfolio adjustments
    • Provide feedback to Product Managers and core team regarding key customer criteria for successful future product roadmap and feature enhancements
    Requirements:
    • University degree in Software. Analytical Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar sciences OR minimum of eight years practical experience with CDS/LIMS software operation in a (WAN) network and/or the cloud
    • Five or more years practical experience in managing a networked (ideally WAN) CDS (ideally Chromeleon) installation in an IT or system administrator role.
    • Detailed knowledge on CDS system administration
    • Good understanding of cloud infrastructure and experience of running/deploying applications in WAN or VPC environment
    • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
    • Fluency in English language
    • Advanced communication skills
    Highly desirable:
    • Experience in managing enterprise software deployed in the cloud (IaaS, SaaS)
    • Understanding of (regulatory) requirements of the pharmaceutical and/or food safety industries
    • High-level understanding of market drivers and applications in adjacent markets (biopharmaceutical, chemical/petrochemical, environmental)
    • Good product knowledge on LIMS software
    • High degree of personal initiative and self management
    • Ability to influence others without direct control (Matrix management)
    • Ability to connect with customer base to determine business issues and devise innovative solutions.
