A Product Manager drives the design, development, and implementation of products based on user needs and the company's product strategy and vision. A Product Manager actively owns the product strategy and direction for the product area by understanding user, partner, and market needs and by working closely with designers, developers, analysts, researchers, product marketing managers, copywriters and others to deliver successful products.
A Product Manager is deeply committed to solving user (customer, partner, and/or other users) pain points and identifying opportunities to improve their experience.
They are responsible for collecting and understanding qualitative and quantitative data as necessary to inform and prioritize product direction, form and test hypothesis driven solutions, and assist in the building of scalable technology that addresses long term needs.
Specifically - this Product Manager position will be responsible for leading the Guest experience team within the connectivity track at booking.com. This team is responsible for developing the connectivity solutions related to Reservations Delivery, Reservations Reporting, Payments & Guest experience while working in close collaboration with tracks across the company.
This role offers a platform level global scope with wide learning opportunities on Guest experience, payments ecosystem, Channel management, Property management systems, Go to market processes in B2B space, and in general about scaling accommodation business through 3rd party travel ecosystem.
This role is suitable for a highly energetic & entrepreneurial Product Manager , who is always willing to collaborate with multiple teams/stakeholders and strive towards achieving the desired outcome(s).
This is an individual contributor role supported by a group product manager, where it is possible to learn and be mentored by others to learn the skills, acquire the experience, and grow through development plans to become an expert at product management.
Connectivity is a partner side API based platform that helps our high value accomodation partners to do business with us via 3rd party connectivity vendors (E.g. Channel managers, Property management systems). Most of our large accommodations such as global chains , big core hotels and professional home properties (e.g. Property management Companies) work with booking.com via connectivity vendors and are called “Connected properties”. These connected properties are strategically important for our business and contribute significantly to our revenue and growth.
Responsible for one product team including the short and long term roadmap for the product area.
Identify user and partner needs through various methods of research (quantitative, qualitative, market research, benchmarking)
Responsible for data analysis, experimentation, and reporting on their product to drive changes and improvements to the user experience.
Building of business cases and supporting business models to be able to understand and explain the impact of team on the wider business
Serve as the product team’s primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making
Works independently with support and coaching from senior and group product managers.
Actively participate in product networks and the craft community outside of their own track.
Contributing to the craft community and company wide efforts where needed (e.g. recruitment activity generating leads, doing phone interviews)
Responsible for selecting the right methodology for the product that is being developed given the stage of the product life cycle, by applying knowledge of the limitations and possibilities of the various product development methodologies.
Responsible for ensuring a high quality user experience with our products by applying technical awareness and understanding of technical risks.
Support and justify the chosen technical solutions and build a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders by ensuring the technical feature development and strategy are scoped to satisfy the short and long terms needs of the business.

Excellent degree of communication skills - Being able to effectively communicate both the strategic vision and specific details to various stakeholders, from senior leadership to individual project members. Being able to write clear and concise product requirements, status updates, and product results.

Strong teamwork , stakeholder management and collaboration skills with the ability to achieve mutually agreeable solutions by staying adaptable, communicating ideas in clear coherent language, and practising active listening.
Ability to thrive and work in a fast-paced, results driven environment with multiple responsibilities, whilst also taking the time for personal reflection and growth on individual and product skills.
