The Role
The primary role of Procurement Analyst consists of leading Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) activities within the EMEA region. The role will be performed in close cooperation with US-based CoE members. You support those executing Source to Pay (Sourcing, Contracting, Buying, and/or Pay) processes in EMEA by leading and/or participating in efforts to improve and sustain processes, solving problems as they arise, supporting relevant technologies (e.g. SAP and SAP Ariba), integrating new systems and approaches and delivering training to new team members. You will also play a key role in integrating acquisitions in the EMEA region when they occur. Reporting to the Procurement CoE Manager, you will fulfil a key role aimed at bringing value to the global businesses for Eastman Chemical.
Required capabilities and background:
This position requires a strong focus on delivering quality work, excellent communication-, interpersonal skills and strong affinity for IT and process improvement within procurement. The ability to adapt to changes in a multinational company is important to us. Significant experience with leading technologies such as SAP, SAP Ariba, and Microsoft Office 365 is strongly preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility consists of working closely with Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) teammates to support Sourcing, Contracting, Buying, and/or Paying execution globally
- Be a source of expertise in Global Sourcing and Procurement processes for the company
- Lead and contribute to the development, implementation, and stewardship of Global Sourcing and Procurement policies and procedures
- Contribute to the design of Global Sourcing and Procurement systems
- Administer and support Global Sourcing and Procurement systems
- Develop and deliver training for Global Sourcing and Procurement policies, processes, and systems
- Investigate and resolve issues effectively to sustain Global Sourcing and Procurement operational excellence
- Develop and deliver analytics to business partners and/or Sourcing and Procurement management
- Participate in and support audits as needed
Required Qualifications
- This role requires the ability to think strategically, execute methodically, questioning status-quo and challenging others in a collaborative way
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business, Finance, or business-related field required
Advanced business-related degrees such as an MBA or MS Supply Chain preferred
More than 4 years of relevant Sourcing and Procurement experience required
Experience with SAP ERP and SAP Ariba or other Procurement systems required
Proven problem-solving skillsets to be able to understand the “as-is” situation and offer improvement options
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate with teammates globally
Ability to adapt to changes in a growing multinational company
Ability to have a flexible schedule when necessary to support global activities
Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, et al)
