As Pricing Representative at our Expeditors Amsterdam office, you will work with a dynamic team in a good office atmosphere. Together with your team you are responsible for all air and road related quotes. You will receive the necessary training in order to accurately perform your tasks with confidence and enthusiasm.
Major Duties and Responsibilities.
Responsible for answering ad-hoc and RFQ’s in air and international road transport.
Managing deadline that are set by our Customers and as per Operational Performance Standard to maintain a proper communication.
Be in close contact with our Sales/Account Management team in order to handle the requests on time that are coming in from their customers regarding pricing (Import & Export).
To stay in close contact with our Product Managers and our Regional Pricing (based in London) in order to be on top of every request.
Follow up with customers on provided ad-hoc quotes.
Maintain contact with bid owners to support and follow up on RFQ’s results.
Follow up on every Request for Quotes from customers with the Pricing Team.
Maintain closely communication with regional pricing team and carriers to be updated on new rates to make sure that these are/stays competitive.
Make sure that pricing is up to date and distributed within our network and our customers.
Be able to provide insurance rates/quotes to customers when requested.
Be able and willing to provide general support to our sales team regarding requests for pricing.
Maintaining good and close communication with the customer service teams on daily base.
6 months to 1 year related working experience and/or training.
Having experience in pricing and knowledge of the market is a must.
Understanding of transport documentation process (preferred).
Attention to detail should be a natural characteristic.
Must have the ability to prioritize and work with deadlines.
Good knowledge and understanding of incoterms.
Be a team player and have the ability to listen, comprehend and effectively communicate to obtain positive results.
Pro-active and strong organizational skills.
Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook).
Be able to write and speak in English and Dutch.
