We are looking for a
Plant Performance Engineer
Are you a Process Engineer Professional that would like to contribute to overall global customer satisfaction? Within DSM-Engineering Materials (*) it is critical to maintain consistent product quality and testing methodology, allowing the organization to supply customers from multiple sites and over time without issue.
Key areas of accountability/responsibility are:
Supports plant safety initiatives in daily operations.
Provides daily support within operations to resolve processing/product issues.
Performs all quality system procedures and requirements associated with the position.
Develops, maintains, and approves product processing parameters and performance standards.
Provides technical expertise to other company personnel regarding products and processing.
Customer contact including coordination, investigation, and resolution of customer complaints.
Measures/Monitors (ME/ Asset Utilization) operational performance (KPIs) and initiates continuous improvement activities (safety, quality, productivity) as appropriate per the data.
Facilitates, challenges, and completes RCA investigations/follow-up.
Coordinates the improvements portfolio following the Improve Plant (IP) process (including responsibility for capital improvements if necessary)
Assists in acquiring and qualifying new processing equipment and supplies, including locating, pricing, obtaining authorization and purchasing items as needed.
Coordinates the efficient transfer of new products/processes from R&D to Production
Maintains detailed records on computer, and prepares and submits various reports as required
Collaboration and Interaction with plant staff, both inside and outside the own organization.
Works on the interface of several organizations. Balances the needs of DSM Engineering Materials vs that of others, and is able to prioritize actions.
Bachelor or Master Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
>2 years of process engineering related experience
Functional knowledge and ability to make practical application of plastics properties and processing techniques.
Working knowledge of relevant manufacturing safety requirements.
Working knowledge of QA testing and techniques.
Working knowledge of statistical techniques (LSS) and computer systems (SAP)
Working knowledge of relevant Manufacturing Excellence work processes
Flexibility to change product and project ownership.
Availability to provide support outside office hours in cooperation with the other engineers .
