    Planning & Support Specialist

    Primary job function

    • The Planning & Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring WMS, FTMS and MQ system availability to meet shipment planning requirements.

    4. Core job Responsibilities (major accountabilities)

    • Define rolling warehouse planning of shipments available in WMS and FTMS in cooperation with the warehouse Supervisor.

    • Monitor and adjust planning in case of interruptions and or changing customer needs in cooperation with dispatch and customer service.

    • Maintain planning procedures and associated planning parameters.

    • Monitor planning progress and resource planning in conjunction with the warehouse supervisors.

    • Ensure optimal release of shipments to maximize the utilization of the mechanized equipment and staffing capacity.

    • Daily monitoring of planning progress and pro-active communication with Group leads and Warehouse Supervisors.

    • Ensure optimal use and utilization of shipping lanes in cooperation with dispatch.

    • Communicate and follow up with warehouse operations, transport planning, dispatch and customer service to ensure actions are taken in line with agreed planning.

    • Maintain system availability to ensure business processes are not interrupted.

    • Monitor, report and resolve WMS, FTMS and MQ issues according Abbott guidelines.

    • Perform analyses and provide data needed for analyses.

    • Support WHS Coordinator during the daily operation. Take accountability for team performance and behaviors.

    • Be the first point of contact for the operational team during absent of WHS Coordinator.

    5. Supervisory/management responsibilities

    • Be the first point of contact for the operational team during absent of WHS Coordinator.

    6. Education

    • MBO+/HBO level.

    7. (technical) skills

    • Strong analytical skills to distinguish main and secondary matters, be pragmatic, focus on main issues and quickly understand inter-relationships.

    • Ability to work with various systems to ensure analyses can be performed efficient and effective.

    • Well experienced in working with Excel.

    • Well-developed communication skills.

    • Dutch and English, verbal and written.

    8. Business knowledge & experience

    • Familiarized with the creation of planning in a warehouse environment.
    • Familiarized with Warehouse Management Systems.
    • Familiarized with IT systems and automation.
