As our Personalization Manager, you ensure that we are able to deliver relevant and personalized offers and communication to our customers across channels, offering them real value and benefits.
As our Personalization Manager, you are the driving force behind our global personalization strategy. You ensure that our personalization initiatives are accelerated to support our brands across the globe in delivering relevant and hyper-personalized messages through the whole customer journey. Your audience are our loyalty customers, but also our non-loyalty customers and potential customers. You help to ensure they will receive relevant and personalized communication, offers and advertising, across all channels, for example email, website, app, display, search, social, customer care and in store. It is your responsibility to create the global personalization strategy and to manage the progress of the implementation. You use customer data to support the development of a central 360 customer view across various touchpoints of the customer journey. You enable us to build micro-segment views of our loyal customers which we can use to address them with personalized offers, rewards and shopping experiences in real-time. You will work closely with the Data & Analytics team to identify opportunities for hyper-personalization through algorithms to support our shoppers in real-time and create true tangible customer value. You will help to build a centralized algorithm repository that is scalable across our brands and regions, and to implement KPIs to measure success.

creating a global personalization strategy across brands, across audiences and across channels, while taking into account privacy regulation and the approaching cookieless world.
creating in-house personalization capabilities in the local brand teams, ensuring the right strategy, technology, process, and roles are deployed. Guiding personalization teams through their strategic transformations.
designing and building a European personalization hub, which will support the local brands.
teaming up with our Data & Analytics team and Loyalty team, to provide the required data and data infrastructure and connections. Supporting the development of our central 360 customer view and using the insights that result from this for marketing purposes.
selecting and deploying best-in-class personalization technology across our brands, such as a DMP, CDP or journey orchestration platform. Setting up and monitoring KPIs, and creating a dashboard, driving the personalization goals in our brands, such as the redemption rate of personalized offers.
responding to fast changing customer needs and technology on our business, and being able to adapt accordingly.
promoting, scaling and sharing our personalization initiatives across our local brands in a consultative fashion.
managing innovative, multidisciplinary and cross-regional projects and small programs for personalization, involving multiple stakeholders.
building strong relationships and collaborating with our local brands, with cross-functional stakeholders such as colleagues from Digital Marketing, Capability building, Loyalty, Monetization, eCommerce, Data & Analytics, IT, Security, Finance, Legal, and with external parties such as media agencies, publishers, consulting partners and technology solution partners.

This department is responsible for digital marketing, personalization, loyalty and monetization at Ahold Delhaize and across all our brands. However, due to COVID-19, we currently still work from home as much as possible.

a master's or MBA degree in a relevant field such as digital marketing.
between 8 and 10 years of work experience in personalization within a (global) retail environment.
experience with personalization strategies and approaches. Knowledge about personalization trends and best practices.
hands-on experience with data driven personalization technology, such as CDP, DMP, journey orchestration, with marketing technology and e-commerce technology which is connected to it, and with API connections.
experience with data collection, storage and processing, with data analysis and insights, and with performance measurement.
preferably experience with designing and building personalization capabilities, and deploying these across markets/businesses in a global organization. And experience with designing and building a personalization hub, which performs personalization activities across markets/businesses.
experience with acquisition and retention of customers within a large-scale, complex organization.
knowledge about segmentation and audience building, particularly within the retail domain.
up-to-date knowledge about privacy regulations and consent requirements for the usage of customer data.
excellent communication and project management skills. Strong analytical skills. Positive attitude and can-do mindset.
the ability to network well and to manage multidisciplinary, cross-regional projects and small programs with various internal- and external stakeholders in a large and complex multinational environment.
experience within Europe is considered a plus.
