    Penetration Tester

    Canon Europe are currently seeking a Penetration Tester to join its security team and be the subject matter expert on application security, SDLC and penetration testing within the EMEA Enterprise Information Security Department of Canon.

    In this role as Penetration Tester you will assist all application security related projects, designs and testing throughout the various IT services life cycle and you will also assist with the implementation of SDLC, security training and assisting other members of IT, development companies and Canon's strategic partners in the field of application security penetration testing.
    The role will also act on behalf of Canon EMEA in professional forums to further progress Canon as a thought leader in the field of Information Security and will be heavily involved with the security testing of Canon's own products within the region, as well as advise Canon Inc. on security within new developed services and solutions.

    As the Penetration Tester, your main responsibilities will be;

    • Assisting with application security audits and management within Canon EMEA including: SDLC implementation, penetration testing, product security testing, DevOps security support.
    • Translating security policies into risk controls for new and existing projects. Provide security expertise to project and product teams in the implementation of security controls.
    • Further developing the application security tools and capabilities, including: penetration testing tools, automated security solutions, code review solutions etc.
    • Advising Canon Inc. on the security of new (software) services and solutions.
    • Keeping abreast of current industry security solutions and trends and be able to apply to business and IT issues.
    • Improving the level of security understanding and practices in the relevant areas of Canon and our 3rd parties suppliers.
    • Participating in other regular activities of the department including: technical and non-technical audits, change management, incident management, policy maintenance and enforcement.

    To be successful in this role of Penetration Tester we would like you to have;

    • Previous experience in a technical function within the field of information security in security auditing of software and/or penetration testing.
    • Strong technical background (with preference to software development)
    • Penetration Testing training skills, the ability to translate technical and security "Jargon" to business and non-technical terms.
    • Proven experience in executing configuration reviews, penetration tests and web application security tests, as well as to follow up tests performed by others and conduct audit response management.

    Specific security & IT skills:

    • Programming languages/scripting - such as: Java, .NET, Java Script, Perl,
    • Python, PowerShell, Linux Scripting (such as Bash).
    • Penetration testing of mobile apps for IOS and Android.
    • Reasonable knowledge of DB Security (with emphasis on Oracle)
    • Good knowledge of security of Agile/DevOps environments as well as Waterfall based development.
