The HR of the Future will work across brands, geographies and cultures to support one global Maersk. Next to the Centers of Expertise (CoE) and the strategic HR Business Partners, the People Partnering Organization is the largest part of the new HR organization and the closest to our people.

To enable our future HR service delivery model, we are establishing three People Partnering Hubs covering geographical regions: Bangalore, India, covering Asia Pacific; Lisbon, Portugal, covering Europe & Africa; and San José, Costa Rica, covering the Americas.

We are looking for a Payroll Team Lead overseeing The Netherlands and Belgium, to manage ongoing delivery of related services, while driving our ambitious agenda for optimizing the processes and strengthening governance.

You will also lead the transition of Payroll as we go live with Workday. To achieve this, you will collaborate closely with the Regional Implementation Manager, the Employee Experience team driving the local roll-out as well as external payroll providers.

You will furthermore manage your own local Payroll Team of Payroll Specialists.

    Key responsibilities

    • Consistently drive and deliver high quality Payroll Services for your set of countries to ensure great employee experience and regulatory compliance

    • Provide leadership to the local Payrolls, creating and maintaining an environment where employees are highly engaged, proud of their work and have a strong sense of purpose

    • Implement local initiatives related to Payroll, Time & Attendance in close collaboration with the Head of Payroll

    • Lead the local implementation of the regional Payroll delivery model and technologies, in line with any legislative, economic or cultural necessities

    • Implement and adhere to the global governance structure to aid global reporting and compliance with internal control procedures

    • Ensure best-practice sharing with global colleagues and within the region to continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of delivery and consistently improve the employee experience

    • Continually review regional Payroll, Time & Attendance capabilities and resource levels in line with business demand and as the new HR operating model and technology adoption both mature

    • Uphold the Maersk brand and values and business knowledge within the team

    • Ensure a high degree of key stakeholder satisfaction in the country.

    We are looking for

You are highly driven, enjoy working at a fast pace, dealing with change and a touch of uncertainty.
