Payroll Manager Europe
As the Payroll Manager for Europe, you will join a highly committed and dynamic international team. Your focus will be to lead the European Payroll Team and manage payroll responsibilities, including the preparation of the monthly payroll reports, coordination and audit of the payroll outputs with the support of our external Global Provider (ADP Streamline), preparation of journals, ad-hoc reports and making sure that we process payments in a timely and accurate manner. This role requires a high attention to detail, hands-on capabilities, the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and a passion for driving results and process improvements.
The Payroll Department collaborates very closely with key Corporate functions and Business Leaders to create and support the strategic roadmap. You will align with regional and global People Operations, HR Business Partners and Finance stakeholders, global and local payroll vendors (ADP), the European HR leadership team and Compliance.
Reporting to the European Head of People Operations & Payroll, you have a key position within our European structure. Collaboration is key where the ability to think creatively, build strong working relationships across geographies and functions, and problem solving will contribute to your success and the success of our function. The role requires an unwavering commitment to accuracy and compliancy for all areas of responsibility and an ability to be a problem solver who can lead a team and collaborate across the organization to continually improve payroll and all payroll related practices in Europe (20 countries at this moment).
You will own the European payroll strategy development and deployment and are accountable for payroll accuracy and compliance for the European region
You are responsible for team management and development of the European payroll team containing of 6 specialists
You will Identify and develop regional and local payroll and people goals, KPIs and objectives
You will lead, recommend and participate in projects to continually review and improve current processes
You will support deployment of regional and global HR initiatives which impact the payroll process
You will constantly improve payroll processes in alignment with regional & global stakeholders and vendors and act as a project leader for regional/local changes in the payroll operating model
Responsible for payroll vendor management and their performance on regional and global level
Act as an escalation point for regional and global stakeholders for payroll related issues
Provide payroll data analytics to internal stakeholders and management
Manage internal and external payroll audits
What you need to succeed
You have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in international payroll and at least 5 as a Payroll Leader
You have experience in leading Payroll Operations on regional level within a shared service center model
You have strong collaboration and managerial skills and excellent communication skills
You have a proven track record of process improvements and automation
You bring a solid understanding of accounting, taxation, and finance concepts as it relates to payroll
You have a track record in vendor management (ADP Streamline) and with different HR (Workday) & Payroll software systems
You have the ability to interact on all levels of the organization and have strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Full proficiency in English and another European language. Speaking either Spanish, Italian or French would be a nice to have
You are proficient in Excel, ADP Streamline and other Microsoft Office tools
