As part of our Research, Development and Operations (RD&O) organization, the JDE R&D function is on a journey to transition into a world-class organization delivering innovation and excellence for all JDE business ambitions.
The R&D Global Packaging Sustainability Technology Manager is part of the Global R&D organization, within Packaging. In this unique career opportunity, you will lead a team of 5 to 10 R&D associates and ensure the technology roadmap is set to implement JDE's global sustainability strategy.
The tasks and responsibilities in this role:
Develop a road map for technical programs to reach packaging sustainability commitments and ensure compliance with regulation
Create efficiency and affordability of our packaging solutions worldwide
Manage own resources and annual budget
Manage and develop team members
Create cross-functional alignment and resourcing of packaging sustainability programs
Manage a wide group of senior in- and external stakeholders

The preferred qualifications and skills for this role:
A higher professional education level in Engineering, packaging materials or packing systems
Over 10 years of experience in expertise area’s FMCG, packaging, packaging systems and sustainability.
A track record of unique achievements in packaging sustainability
Strong organization/project management skills
Excellent presentation and influencing skills to key partners (internal and external) and senior stakeholders
Agility to make decisions regarding project execution and priority setting
Ability to successfully develop and manage departmental budgets
Adapt to and fit into a demanding culture that expects high levels of performance
Deliver and communicate tangible results
Show flexibility in travels and work from home as required
Be a good listener and have the ability to work with different international cultures
