Responsibilities Packaging Project Technologist
As Packaging Project Technologist you will be working across multiple global projects which reflect the packaging supplier communication. You are part of the Packaging R&D team and will report to the global packaging development manager. You will have two main job tasks:
Projects on site: Part of your responsibility is working out projects at the production site. Here you will act as a project member within cross functional teams and work closely with QA, production, supply chain and distribution in order to ensure that new packaging products are able to be introduced to the production correctly.
Projects in the lab: The other remaining of your time, you will be working out projects within the lab where you will be in charge of testing and checking new (global) packaging suppliers.
You will create packaging standards and quality regulations. Next to this, you will have to communicate clearly with production in order to ensure that new packaging is being able to run through the entire supply chain. Note that you will not have to be present on site or in the lab at all times as you also have to opportunity to work from home. In addition, you can schedule your working hours, depending on the appointments and projects, as sometimes you will have to communicate with area's with a time difference.
Profile Packaging Project Technologist
You have the unique opportunity to be part of the transition and the opening of a brand new, state of the art, R&D lab (!). The new lab will be located in the city of Wageningen. Therefore, your working location will move from Rotterdam to Wageningen, Mid 2022.
As Packaging Project Technologist you fit within the following profile:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Packaging or Food Technology;
At least 2 years of experience within the packaging industry;
Work experience in the food or dairy industry is a plus;
Are used to work as part of multi-disciplined teams;
100% fluency in English (spoken and written) is a must;
Candidates must be living in The Netherlands and have a valid EU working permit. You are required to travel (approximately 25% within the EU) to the factories.
The offer Packaging Assistant Manager Food
This is a temporary role, until the end of 2022. Your salary depends on your education and previous work experience but varies between €3000 and €3500 gross monthly. This position requires you to travel globally (25%), note that this will depend on the current COVID restrictions.
The current office location is in Rotterdam, however, the office will relocate to Wageningen in mid 2022.
