You love to be on top of what is going on? This job at Plastopil Europe B.V. will challenge you:
Part of a small team you will ensure an effective order process, you know what’s going on and with your excellent communication skills are easily able to inform all the key players involved.
Monday morning: You are a little early in the office and before turning on your computer you first get yourself a steamy cup of coffee. You get settled, organize your desk and check the incoming mail from international customers and your colleagues in Israel. The colleagues in Israel are ahead of you: their working week starts on Sunday and also their day starts earlier. They inform you about new orders and the shipments of this week.
The advanced food packing films – produced in the plant in Israel, where the head office and main production facility is located – will arrive on Tuesday and Wednesday in containers and a couple of urgent products left with today’s flight. Of course, you inform your colleagues which products they can expect to deliver directly to clients all around Europe or first submit for final conversion at the local plant. Before planning the shipments and making a start with preparing the conversion work orders for the plant you will scan your inbox and find a mail: your customer has an urgent need of plastic film; they have to pack an extra amount of fresh fish this week which obviously cannot wait. Of course you get into the issue immediately and find a proper solution. Also you see in your mail: queries, final dispatch co-ordination, new orders….
A customer has a question for you: we offered a price per meter but, the customer wants to know the price per m2. Also they want to know how many rolls can be put on a pallet. No problem to make a quick calculation, as you have a good feeling for numbers.
Time flies! You take a break together with the colleagues from the office and production. Some jokes, some shoptalk and then back to work.
Customers need your attention: you inform them when they can expect the delivery of the orders after you consult your colleague who is responsible for the shipments to the customers. You verify all the details of the new orders and you make calculations how many products can be sent per pallet to ship products as efficient as possible. You remind them to order the film for packing that popular Christmas dish timely, and with the support of the QA department you bring complaints to resolution. You take care of the paperwork and the invoices.
You are the right hand of the sales manager, advising on order fulfillment possibilities and taking care of all the details between closing the deal and delivery. You take care of repeating orders independently.
You feel very comfortable being the spider in the web seeing the whole picture while taking care of all the links, you love your customers and have an open communication with your colleagues around the globe. You are flexible to jump in and support colleagues during leave and workload fluctuation. You are always on top of what is going on and when necessary, you calculate, organize, communicate, sort things out into every little detail and solve the problems when they occur. You do everything to ensure timely deliveries and happy customers. You come to work with a smile and a ‘can do’ attitude and make the best of every situation.
