Team Liquid is seeking a Graphics Operations Manager to join our creative team. In this role, you will lead and mentor our talented team of graphic designers in their daily production tasks, helping them adapt and navigate obstacles to ensure they grow and develop as professionals. You also will be overseeing the department budget and acting as an intermediary between other departments to ensure alignment on workflows and workload when consulting on RFP’s, as well as incoming and outgoing work requests.
Your day-to-day responsibilities:
Motivate direct reports through ongoing feedback on performance, goal setting, and professional development
Maximize productivity among art directors, graphic designers, UI/UX designers, production artists, animators, and writers/producers
Schedule and lead regular department stand-ups to discuss projects and priorities for team members and to address questions or concerns
Prioritize design projects, running simultaneously with varying levels of complexity
Navigate and own all end-to-end operations in our Graphics Department, working closely with internal cross-functional teams such as Partnerships, Talent, Sales, 1UP Studio’s as well as external partners and agencies
Own budgets and timelines (including event logistics, financial management, fabrication/graphic/production timelines, vendor timelines, creative deliverables)
Manage relationships (internal and external) as the primary point of contact
Manage vendor activity and relationships (ensuring effective communications, quotes, selection, setup, POs/deposits, addressing minor issues, etc.)
Help the Graphics Department to build optimized workflows for supporting all networks.
Oversee effective, efficient execution of timeline and budget across all workstreams
Provide and present milestones and updates for core execution team and executive updates regularly.
Have the ability to juggle a heavy workload and keep highly detailed schedules of all resources
You are the ideal candidate for this position when:
You have a minimum of 3-5 years of proven leadership experience in a similar creative environment (bonus if it's in an agency or in an international setting).
You're a digital native with a strong understanding of how our target audience engages with online channels.
You are proactive, creative, and have a natural ability to connect with your audience through various communications mediums.
You love to get things done, yet at the same time, you are willing to take the time to listen, learn, receive feedback, and adapt.
You exhibit a willingness to take on responsibilities outside of your job description and have the ability to respond to business demands in a fast-paced environment.
