    Unilever is proud of its Tea business, the biggest in the world, with world class purpose driven brands such as Lipton, PG tips and Pukka. Recently, Unilever decided to separate the Tea business to ensure it can best achieve its potential. Unilever is currently reviewing several options for separation, including a demerger, an initial public offering, a disposal or through partnership models. The process is expected to conclude by the end of 2021. The Tea businesses in India and Indonesia, and the partnership interests in the ready-to-drink Tea joint ventures will be retained.

    Your Role:

    The Operations and Transformation Lead is responsible for both coordination of global SC activities (Ocean Freight, Demand Planning Center of Excellence, Safety and Quality Control standard setting) and definition and implementation of global supply chain strategy with central teams for Strategies and Engineering. The Operations and Transformation Lead will business partner the CSCO in development and implementation of the overall supply chain strategy

    Your Key Tasks:

    • Create technology platform roadmaps in support of global business priorities and define roles of factories (local for local vs. export hubs, focus formats etc)

    • Develop the safety guidelines and programs to be deployed across all regions including factories

    • Define the quality control program to be implemented across factories

    • Conduct periodic network studies to identify opportunities to improve controlled cost structure, make v. buy decisions across 3PM landscape, capacity management plans across all factories and any other programs required to optimize overall supply chain design

    • Implement global technology/engineering projects with support of factory engineering teams

    • Coordinate and optimize ocean freight shipments between management units

    • Provide analytical insights and statistical models for demand forecasting to support performance management and growth ambitions of country teams

    Key interfaces and relevant stakeholders for this role:

    • Engagement with MU-level strategy and performance management forums

    • Reports to chief supply chain officer

    • Expected FTEs within organisation ~50

    Required knowledge and Experiences:

    • At least 10 years prior experience in a similar role in a supply chain or manufacturing environment.

    • FMCG background a MUST; engineering and/or consulting & business review experience a benefit

    • A proven track record in leadership

    • Project management and implementation skills

    • Business Strategy formulation and Change management skills

    Required Skills:

    • Fluent in English

    • Strong project management skills

    • Strong financial and business acumen

    • Understanding of Business Cases

    • building and managing Teams, ideally cross-country & virtual Teams

    • Strategy development
