Operational Excellence Lead

The primary role of our Operational Excellence team is to provide Finance teams with deep expertise in the areas of process innovation, change management, & project management to reach even greater success.
As an Operational Excellence Lead in the Finance OPEX team you will work closely with the Operational Excellence Manager and other senior stakeholders to execute the team’s strategy. You will be responsible for a team of 5-6 specialists to drive, execute and consult on improvement and innovation projects (both small and large) that deliver on Finance department priorities.
You will accomplish this through a combination of strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills as well as by applying Lean/Six Sigma and Design Thinking techniques. You’ll work closely with teams from across the department, including Collections, Accounting, Financial Systems, etc., to deliver tangible results for our Customers, Partners, and Booking.com.

Initiate and drive process & technical changes in a diverse stakeholder field with teams across Finance and Booking.com
Prepare successful changes for delivery to the Implementation & Change team for global execution
Serve as liaison between various support functions and operational leaders, translate requirements, performance recommendations and strategies
Assure and safeguard improvements for the long-term by installing the appropriate control measures
Professionalize the team by contributing to the development of a standard way of working in process management and process improvement
3+ years management, mentoring and coaching experience within an international company
We are looking for candidates with a proven track record in Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Operations Management, Process Improvement, advisory work or project management, leading large projects within a diverse stakeholder field
Demonstrated track record of defining and executing operational performance and process improvement initiatives, leading them from start to finish
Visionary, focused on business impact and actionable recommendations
Very high problem solving and structuring skills, with the ability to simplify complex areas
Proactive and positive attitude
Good communicator (on several levels) and ability to work with, influence and align with multiple stakeholders
Flexible and capable to find the right balance between structured problem analysis and project management and agility to deal with B.com fast-pacing change environment
