    ING’s Open Banking Program has been created to help the bank realise its Platform and Open Banking vision. We believe that Open Banking will help ING to further stimulate innovation and cooperation with third parties, including FinTechs, and explore new business models.

    ING’s Developer Portal is a key, foundational element in our Open Banking journey. This digital platform will support the search for improved customer experiences and new business models through open API technology. The Open Banking team also ensures a solid framework and clear rules-of-the-game for the new business models generation and offers advice and support in designing and managing the Open Banking portfolio.

    Your role and work environment

    • You support the development, implementation and communication of the roadmap for ING’s developer portal at
    • You are experienced with creating customer journeys and are excited to apply these in the context of the developer portal
    • You define business requirements in alignment with relevant (internal) stakeholders
    • You apply aspects of (service) design thinking to understand clients and their needs, generate ideas and validate solutions with clients in order to build features that are valuable and relevant
    • You apply your experience in building and managing the Open Banking ecosystem, including the process design and implementation
    • You co-manage and prioritise the backlog at the level of user stories and features
    • You work with Risk, Compliance and Legal stakeholders to manage risk assessments (PARP, RCSA) for the developer portal
    • You have affinity with (IT) architecture, release management and UATs
    • You are creative and an out-of-the box thinker who likes to work in a multidisciplinary team in an agile environment

    • You are passionate about (product) innovation in financial technology, love to connect business and IT, and have affinity with Open Banking and (API) platforms
    • You love the unknown and love to work in a fast paced, agile environment
    • You are an energetic, motivating person who can work independently and who also can work as part of a team, think and act out of the box and take accountability
    • You have excellent communication skills
    • You support in maintaining global ING contacts, external contacts and contacts with other ING departments
    • Ability to understand the broader landscape of ING across segments (retail and wholesale), across countries and regions
    • Gaining a profound understanding of the market, incl. third party developers, and our customers and translate this to the best in class customer experience
    • Implementing the strategy taking ING’s priorities and customer’s expectations into consideration
    • Understand and apply business principles and external regulation
    • You have strong realisation power, are confident, persistent and take initiative
    • You are analytically strong with a creative brain
    • You make things happen thanks to your ‘can do’ attitude and excellent planning and organisational skills
    • You are fluent in English
    • You have a Master’s degree or similar by experience, with 2 to 5 years relevant experience
