As a New Business Technology Manager you leading technology innovation projects from idea to business start. This challenging role requires a combination of knowledge of the internal organization, excellent communication and capabilities to effectively develop the external network. You will report to the R&D Department Manager Product & Application Development of Teijin Aramid. Your primary workplace is situated in Arnhem, The Netherlands.
Your key responsibilities
Work in close connection with Corporate Research and Development teams in Teijin to identify and evaluate new markets and target clients;
Initiate, evaluate and complete proposals for new profitable business opportunities;
Work with internal and external teams to deliver outstanding presentation to capture profitable business opportunity.
To be successful in this role you have 5+ years’ experience in relevant functions and have a MSc degree in Physics, Biology or Chemistry, a strong affinity with lean startup, entrepreneurship and co-creation.
Strong affinity and background in Sustainability;
Preferably a background in polymer synthesis, electrochemistry or materials processing;
Out of the Box thinking style but capability to conclude or converge;
Self-motivated, independent, pioneering spirit and change agent;
Capable of creating structure and apply project management in a turbulent environment;
Team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (fluent in English);
Sense of humor!
About Teijin ESTIC
The European Sustainable Technology Research Innovation Center (ESTIC) has been initiated to accelerate the efforts of the Teijin group in the area of Environmental Solutions. The focus is on the end-user perspective and to create, deliver and capture value via integration of own and externally developed technologies. Solutions are developed by leveraging the full portfolio and competences across the Teijin Group in cooperation with start-ups, established companies and institutions. ESTIC reports directly to Teijin’s Material Technology Center in Japan.
