    National Sales Manager Hospital

    Are you the new National Sales Manager Hospital that Sandoz is looking for? Sandoz BV, a subsidiary of Novartis AG, is a world leader in the production and supply of generic drugs. Sandoz focuses on the sale of non-patented drugs in the Dutch market. Sandoz sells its products under its own name, but also produces on behalf of private labels (house brands) of large retail organizations. Sandoz specializes in difficult to manufacture drugs. In addition, Sandoz has a growing portfolio of specialist products such as biosimilars, injectable depot preparations, oncology products and inhalers.

    As our National Sales Manager Hospital your main purpose is to achieve agreed sales, productivity and performance targets and grow the market share for Sandoz. We’re looking for someone that continuously strives to optimize and (re)define the Specialty strategy in close collaboration with the Business Unit Head, cross functional team and other relevant stakeholders. With 6 direct reports, you will also be responsible for the coaching and development of your team and team members.

    Your Key Responsibilities:
    Realized revenue and profit contribution
    • Executing the sales strategy based on the brand and operational plan(s);
    • Deliver Annual Sales performance for BU specialty in accordance to target;
    • Monitor differentiated products, new launches and attention products closely and prepare and execute successful launches and market implementation;
    • Monitor and act on (long term) optimizing op profitability of different portfolio’s in scope (biosimilars, generics and transplant product).
    Brand and operational planning and execution
    • Responsible for setting up brand and operational plans in close collaboration with cross functional team;
    • Monitor, evaluate and adjust execution of all activities related to increase sales results, E.G. Sales vs target and field force activities;
    • To meet or exceed sales targets (eg units, value, market share, etc.) as defined by the operational plan with respect to stakeholders, buying groups, hospitals and wholesalers within agreed budgets and timescales and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
    • Proactively make proposals for optimization;
    • (Re)define specialty strategy going forward in close alignment with Business Unit Head Specialty.
    Manage direct reports
    • To recruit, retain, motivate, coach and develop associates, in accordance to their potential and developmental needs – working in conjunction and support from sales training, commercial excellence and HR department.
    • To ensure effective communication which reflects leadership, focus, direction and motivation of the sales team.
    • Novartis/Sandoz guidelines, such as P3, Code of Conduct, Anti Bribery, Fair Competition and other applicable policies and within the available budget for this purpose.
    • To perform regular field visits
    General
    • Embrace and implement multi-channel strategy and tactics to strive for the best customer centric approach and customer engagement;
    • Not standardized activities such as third party agreements (e.g. service providers), HIC contacts, cross departmental collaboration (e.g. BPA and supply);
    • Close collaboration with Business Unit head Specialty and cross functional team;
    • Novartis/Sandoz guidelines, such as P3, Code of Conduct, Anti Bribery, Fair Competition and other applicable policies and within the available budget for this purpose.

    Minimum requirements

    What you’ll bring to the role:
    • Education: Higher professional education (WO/HBO)
    • At least 5 years of experience in field sales manager roles within pharmaceutical company;
    • Proven, successful selling track record in hospital sales
    • Fluent in Dutch and English.
