Who we're looking for:
We are looking for Mechanical Engineer with a broad vision to technology to join our team. You'll will be working on new product development project; from early concept development through to high volume mass production.
You'll be part of our fast growing Industrialization team, which consists of a 14+ strong team of multi-disciplinary NPI and sustaining engineers.
Technical ownership for a sub-assembly of a NPD product, including set up in PLM/PDM and handling Engineering Change Management (at a later stage of the project)
Develop and build on the engineering processes/standards within the team
Build relationships within both the Industrialization team and NPD teams, as well as external development partners to be able to work effectively and efficiently
Solving complex mechanical and thermal engineering problems, reviewing and evaluating the feasibility of development partner design solutions to ensure products can be manufactured to the strict requirements of UL and automotive standard
5+ year experience with mechanical design with products involving electronic assemblies and thermal management
Experience with and deep understanding of designing for high volume production (DFA/DFM)
Experience with design and production of injection moulding, sheet metal parts and packaging
Experience with product data management systems
Familiar with major 3D CAD design tools (i.e. Solidworks, ProEngineer, NX, Catia)
Strong communication skills to ensure effective cooperation with other teams and external partners
Structured and strong attention to detail
Nice to have:
Experience with design for IP(54+) and IK(10) rating
Experience with plastic FEA
Experience in product development to UL, CE and automotive standards is a plus.
