    MDO/TL Yieldstar Defectivity

    Introduction

    Within D&E, the Defectivity Department within the Machine Conditioning cluster is responsible for making sure the ASML-products have a high-quality output (yield). Any contaminant needs to be prevented since it can create defects in the end-product. As defectivity Main Deliverable Owner (MDO/TL)/engineer you are responsible for leading an integration team, besides leading the team you will be involved in root-cause finding and engineering work.

    Job Mission

    Your task is to define the scope of the team, help in arranging resources based on a solid team plan and to guard progress in time. You are responsible for delivering the defined functionality at the right performance level and secure a smooth transition to volume manufacturing and customer support via documentation and knowledge transfers. You will actively identify and manage issues and risks and report on progress to the various stakeholders.

    Job Description

    For this job specifically, we are looking for someone who can lead a defectivity competence team for Yieldstar (YS) integration and escalation support. We are looking for someone that can combine a leading role with an all-round defectivity engineer role.

    General team leader capabilities:

    • Establish a functional team and secure cross sector deliverables
    • Create and maintain team plans and proactively drive project realization
    • Get interdependencies clear with other teams and with other projects. Pro-actively manage them
    • Manage the delivery of designs in your team that meet the requirements of various stakeholders
    • Review technical solutions proposed, manage time, quality and budget as well as the risks in your project
    • Provide regular updates on the status of your team to key stakeholders and management

    Engineer capabilities/skills:

    • Engage in root cause analysis and understand the various sources that cause issues
    • Make sure hardware and software integration for defectivity is completed on time and in spec
    • Development of new tests and execution of these tests in the cleanroom
    • Data analysis, often including the development of the analysis tooling itself
    • Support customer and factory issues and escalations.

    This work will be in a dynamic environment; both on the topics that need to be worked on and the boundary conditions for the tests themselves are changing often.

    Education

    Master in chemical engineering, applied physics, Mechanical or related.

    Experience

    • At least 3 years experience in team management of complex technical development projects with a strong functional component
    • At least 5 years experience in developing, integrating, testing and realization of complex multidisciplinary products for volume manufacturing, preferably in high tech sector.

    • Highly motivated team player with excellent social, coordination and communication skills

    Context of the position

    ASML’s Development & Engineering (D&E) sector is responsible for the specification, design and realization of all products in the ASML portfolio. Within the D&E sector, the DUV&YS-Defectivity group delivers all functionality related improving defectivity performance of all ASML DUV&YS products. Your team will consists of around 5 highly skilled engineers and architects, with a background in either physics or chemistry.
