Marketing Director (Business Unit Warehouse Solutions)

    Job Title

Marketing Director (Business Unit Warehouse Solutions)

    Job Description

Are you looking to develop your career in marketing, and satisfy your ambitions at a company where you can aspire to new heights, enjoy personal growth and thrive on achievement? At Vanderlande, we are seeking passionate and ambitious people, capable of growing our business in accordance with the company’s overall strategy, while developing a prosperous career in a fast-paced international environment.

    Your responsibilities

In your role as Marketing Director for Warehouse Solutions (WS), you will be challenged to maximise all commercial initiatives and serve as the strategic leader for our integrated global marketing approach. You will report to the Director Strategy and Marketing of WS, as well as being a member of our management team and acting as a business partner to Vanderlande’s Marcoms department.

Our Strategy and Marketing department drives end-to-end commercial development and is responsible for: translating the company’s strategy into individual segments and market approaches; solution design and deployment; driving performance based on value propositions; and steering and organising commercial excellence. These activities are executed for our Fashion, General Merchandise, Amazon and Food market segments.

You will define the global marketing strategy, understand (potential) customer needs in every region and be capable of matching these to existing value propositions – or define and develop new, commercially effective ones. You will initiate market research and translate the outcome of your findings into the marketing approach. As a major contributor to the success of our marketing efforts, you will consolidate local requirements for generating and managing leads in relation to the annual business plans of the CCs.

    Your qualifications and skills

As a highly qualified and experienced marketing professional, you will excel at:

    • leading an international cross-functional team to integrate global and local marketing activities into a comprehensive plan and drive execution across the regions
    • taking end to end responsibility for successful lead generation in order to drive opportunities, sales and revenue
    • driving research on markets, customers, trends and competitors
    • managing clearly defined, up to date and commercially effective value propositions
    • overseeing the extension and optimization of CRM marketing tooling
    • monitoring results to draw conclusions, offer insights, and suggest improvements
    • delivering clear reporting about the sales funnel, from qualified leads through to contract signing
    • laying the groundwork for and begin transitioning to account-based marketing in all regions

Alongside a proven track record and strong leadership skills, you are also expected to possess:

    • a Master’s degree in marketing
    • a minimum of 10-15 years of professional experience in an international marketing role related to high-end investment goods or solutions
    • knowledge of (data-driven) marketing models and tools
    • experience in an industrial B2B and project-focused environment (preferred)
    • a successful track record of designing and implementing international marketing strategies
    • an excellent command of English and preferably another language
    • the ability to challenge the status quo, drive change and create focus
    • excellent relationship-building skills with an ability to prioritise, negotiate and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
    • the ability to be a strong team player
    • the willingness to travel internationally (10-30% of your working time)
