As a Marine Geologist you are part of the Client Deliverables Department in Nootdorp (The Netherlands). In this role you perform geophysical work around the process of acquiring, analysing and interpreting of complete and high-quality geophysical data in order to provide accurate and customised services to both external clients and internal departments.
You are responsible for acquiring, collating, interpreting and reporting of geophysical data (side scan sonar data, single and multichannel seismic data, magnetometer data) and able to run/lead projects of low to medium complexity;
You take care of the compilation of results reports, other data deliverables and the writing of technical reports;
You ensure the appropriate QC of data, interpretation and reports/deliverables and the management and production of geophysical data;
You are responsible for all aspects of the project related to geophysical data;
You perform administrative duties which include being responsible for maintaining accurate and complete survey logs.
Your track record
You have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Geophysics, Geology or related subject and you are conversant with acoustic equipment and have a keen interest in the fields of Marine Geology;
You have knowledge of company specific acquisition, processing and reporting software (e.g. SonarWiz, Oasis Montaj, IHS Kingdom) and the ability to adapt quickly to new software packages;
You are analytical and in the possession of strong writing abilities;
You are fluent in English both written and spoken;
You have an out-going nature with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with the many nationalities within the department;
You have a Dutch residency or you are an EU citizen willing to relocate;
You are available for offshore assignments lasting several weeks (up to 4 consecutive weeks and for a maximum of 100 days per year depending). Full offshore assignment can be considered depending on experience level and personal interest.
