    Your Career

    Is accountable for the effective management and development of the Workplace Resources (WPR) department for our Amsterdam offices. Maintaining office functions to the best. This includes our Server/Lab rooms. We are seeking a colleague who enjoys working independently but collaboratively in a collegial team environment within a fast-paced and dynamic company.

    Occasionally assisting EMEA WPR Director regarding WPR related projects outside the Netherlands.

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities

    • Manage facilities operations programs and processes for all day to day operations, and lab infrastructure and office build-outs at our Amsterdam facilities.

    • Work with ultimately every employee and translate company culture, values, and strategies into practical application for the workplace.

    • Partner effectively with key groups such as IT, Security, Procurement, Finance, and the People team. Maintain regular communications with a variety of stakeholders, to ensure that all concerned parties are well informed.

    • Source local services and goods needed to perform day to day operations through 3rd party suppliers. This in strong cooperation with our US based procurement team.

    • Professional supplier management.

    • Space planning.

    • Leading workplace related projects, assuring timely delivery of clearly defined scope within budget.

    • Lead local WPR team.

    • Managing the Amsterdam WPR budget.

    • Collaborate and partner with SAS to support Environmental, Health & Safety programs.

    Reporting into: Director, EMEA Workplace Resources


    Required Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years experience ensuring continuity of operations and maintenance/repairs in offices and lab spaces.

    • Developing, directing, coordinating and planning essential central services such as maintenance/repairs, mail, shipping/receiving archiving, cleaning, food, waste disposal and recycling;

    • Professional supplier management in a corporate/commercial environment.

    • Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and dealing with the consequences. This job requires you to be reachable outside working hours for emergencies.

    • Planning best allocation and utilisation of space, resources and office concepts. Short and mid term.

    • Executing tenders. From preparing tender documents to signing off contracts in line with company policies and with involvement of right stakeholders and onboarding vendors.

    • Project management (hard-, soft services and construction projects) and supervising and coordinating the work of contractors, ensure minimum disruption to core activities

    • Fluency in Dutch and English

    • Bachelor's Degree
