In the position of Group lead Industrialization within mechatronics system development for applications, you and your team are key contributors to the development of Mechatronics in ASML’s Application products (Metrology Tools). You are driving the industrialization from roadmap to system integration through multidisciplinary project teams.
As manager you will:
- Manage a group, 15 - 25 people, of highly professional engineers, operating in multidisciplinary projects.
Evaluate the capabilities of the team members to identify gaps and prioritize development activities; coach and mentor your team members to support their personal growth.
Identify and communicate the actions needed to implement the department’s strategy and roadmap within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision and values; motivate people to commit to these.
Contribute to the development of annual and longer-term department’s strategy and roadmap; develop business cases for key activities/projects in line with the strategy and roadmap related to the group specific competence.
Manage the technical competence of the team.
Overlook industrialization deliverables over complete programs, covering multiple projects. Create a common way of working.
Technical University masters/PhD in control engineering (Mechanical / Electrical engineering)
Has experience in leading teams operating in a multidisciplinary development involving mechatronics, optics, electronics and / or software. Relevant knowledge of the areas industrialization, customer value, and able to support in control and dynamics, position measurement and actuator systems, signal analysis and testing.
Team player. Pro-active and decisive. Good communicational skills. Strong analytical ability with a pragmatic attitude.
Context of the position
Within ASML the sector Development & Engineering is responsible for the specification and the design of the ASML products. The department Mechatronic Systems Development is responsible for specification, design, integration and qualification of the mechatronics sub-systems and components which are fitted into the end products. The main focus is on nanometer-accuracy positioning of high speed components. Control engineering, dynamics, actuator design, position measurement systems and material handling are part of this department’s main competences.
The holder of the position reports to the department manager of the Applications Mechatronic Systems Development department and is operational within multidisciplinary projects.
