Manager International Tax

About the team:
Our team oversees all aspects of eBay’s finance, analytics, and information technology functions – including controllership, procurement, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, audit, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations. At eBay, we love data, so finance plays a critical role in establishing strategic focus, enabling growth, ensuring execution and driving efficiencies across the organization.
As the Manager, Global Tax you will have a meaningful role within the tax department. You will be part of a team of 4 professionals who are responsible for managing Global Taxes . You will collaborate closely with other members of the tax team, the legal, treasury and accounting teams, and external advisors when needed. The Manager Global Tax reports into the Sr Director, Global Tax.
You will be a critical member of a world-class Global Tax team, collaborating closely with other members of the tax team and other relevant functions within eBay to drive improvements in how we provide tax support to our customers.
Stay up to date on international tax law developments in the material locations that are relevant for eBay in the ROW countries
Work in cross functional teams and to explain tax technical matters in language that non tax people can understand
Support interactions with tax authorities in eBay ROW countries
Research and document direct tax issues, including coordination with external advisors and be able to present findings orally and in writing to tax and non-tax stakeholders.
Review new business initiatives and scope the potential impact on existing tax processes and projects
Develop a broad network with a variety of stakeholders across the eBay business and to represent tax in cross functional collaborations
Support the tax accounting provision process for international operations under ASC 740 on a quarterly and annual basis
Support the international and U.S. compliance reporting process related to non-U.S. entities including reviewing of tax & statutory filings
Bachelor's degree in either Accounting, Finance or Law
CPA, Masters of Taxation or LLM in Tax are preferred
6-8 years of international tax experience, working in either Big 4 or large multinationals
Sensitivity to US GAAP Tax accounting requirements
Experience with dealing with international tax audits and transfer pricing matters
Experience with US tax advantageous
Ability to complete multiple concurrent projects at the same time; react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick response; and have the ability to use judgement and prioritize different tasks
Strong team player

Excellent communication skills
Interest in technology preferred
Fluent English, other languages, in particular German would be advantageous
