The Manager, Covid Vaccine, External Planning needs to ensure the following processes are executed via themself and their team of external planners, within the scope of assigned plants with the plant service and business inventory targets.
The Manager, Covid Vaccine External planning will need to seamlessly deliver in the following areas:
Rapid problem solving, for on-going global launch and manufacturing network installation
Guide the team in setting up a balanced masterplan, detailed plan and material plan which considers operations efficiency, stock cost and customer service.
Bring innovative solutions, continuous process improvement ideas to enhance transactional processes and inter-connections
Be accountable for the team results and objectives: set an executable plan for production, on time availability of Finished products towards customers and on time availability of raw materials & packaging materials for production.
Manage group projects
Create and maintain relationships, internally and externally, that allow his plant to interpret demand and inventory requirements and respond with the right capacity, products, and schedules to meet customer requirements.
Represent External Planning group on related issues to next level management.
Drives Raw Materials and Work in Process, Inventory Planning and ensures best use of plant capacity to optimize investment and meet demand and inventory goals.
Is accountable for the further development of the capabilities of their people. Ensure recruitment, development, and retention of high performing associates, including cross-platform, cross-sector, and cross functional groups career path to develop global leadership. Develop and maintain objectives, development plans, performance reviews and succession plans for all associates.
Allocate resources to new projects and assess workload balance across global planning team.
Provide coaching and establish new team culture and global connectivity
Ensures appropriate representation in PES Quartet teams and global planning structure.
OTIF, Inventory, stock outs, on-time launch, LIFR
This leader will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders, and will manage the following key responsibilities:
Overall accountability of the regional execution of the production planning, scheduling and materials requirements planning processes for his/her internal or external plants
Development of people and organization
Pro-active and balanced communication of issues
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or University equivalent) is required. Advanced degree is preferred.
A minimum 5 years of related experience in Manufacturing and/or Logistics for health care industry required
Previous experience managing or leading teams is preferred
Proven business acumen in Supply Chain and financials is required
Clear understanding of external Supply Chain trends; external partner relationship experience is required
Ability to embed a culture of harmonization and process improvement and value creation is required
Knowledge of SAP/SNC/OMP highly preferable
APICS Certification is preferred
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication and presentation skills is required
Strength in interdependent partnering and team management is required
Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly, and tight deadlines exist is required
Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority; build consensus and look for collaboration with people from different departments and all levels is required
