    We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer in Hoorn with a personal drive to contribute to the overall Schneider Electric growth plan. You will report to the Plant Manager .

    Mission of the role

    As a Maintenance Engineer your role is to be responsible for providing effective, intrinsic safe solutions to improve the long term reliability and predictability of the production equipment.The expected solutions are in the areas of scheduled-/condition-based maintenance, equipment design, standard operating procedures etc.. You will join the Methods & Maintenance team consisting of several engineers and technicians.This position is critically important to support the plant in delivering on targets i.e. lead-time, organisational efficiency, internal process capacity and on-time delivery You will build trusted relationships with suppliers and internal teams.

    Your responsibilities:

    • Implement predictive maintenance, preventive, corrective complex operations requiring the use of a wide field of expertise.
    • Maintain, modify, improve processes and means by suggesting improvement or re-desing.
    • Manage the technical conditions of capability for all operational equipment on site.
    • Train operators in achieving basic maintenance level skills.
    • Manage the maintenance data base.
    • Manage and optimize maintenance costs, including spare parts inventory.
    • Partner with Procurement to manage the maintenance contracts and supplier relations.

    Required qualifications and skills:

    • Bachelor degree in technical or business administration direction;
    • Several years of relevant work experience;
    • Knowledge and experience with maintenance methods and processes;
    • Analytically strong and IT skilled;
    • Good listening skills, empathy and willingness to learn;
    • Language: English mandatory, dutch is nice to have;
    • Familiar with improving on the basis of PDCA and have a strong motivation to further develop asset management in the coming years;
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
