    We are Zapp, a new startup that instantly delivers convenience essentials in mere minutes to consumers. With Covid lockdowns, this model has become more relevant than ever. We are vertically integrated: we operate our own local dark stores and employ our riders. This allows us to be close to customers, control the full consumer experience, and offer them a super slick overall experience. We just launched in London with plans to go international in the coming months. You will have the unique opportunity to work alongside an experienced C-Suite and work in a fast-paced, early-stage start-up environment and be instrumental in shaping it as we grow.


    As our location supervisor, you work alongside our warehouse manager to make sure our operation runs smoothly. You’ll work in a fast-paced, early-stage start-up environment and will have the unique opportunity to help build a successful company right from the start. As Location supervisor you will be managing projects within the supply chain and getting involved in business strategy, business cases and planning. Most importantly you will be learning about all aspects of the operations and gain the experience and knowledge required to build your career.


    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Ensure daily operations run smoothly
    • Making sure that customer orders are assembled correctly and in time
    • Making sure our delivery riders pick up the order expediently
    • Manage a fleet of riders on a daily basis
    • Handling customer issues in case of out of stocks or other issues
    • Making sure stock is received, controlled and stored into the shelves
    • Maintaining a clear and tidy warehouse and ensuring any potential hazards are dealt with safely, quickly and efficiently.
    • Working both independently and as part of a tea

    Requirements

    • At least 1-2 years experience working in fast-paced environments preferably with experience in having managed a team before
    • You have some prior experience in a role in a similar environment (food retail is a big plus)
    • Effective communicator - able to disseminate ideas in a clear, concise manner to the relevant stakeholders through both verbal and written communication
    • Available to start in-person in Amsterdam as soon as possible
    • Passion for technology, start-ups and on-demand services
    • Attention to detail while while not sacrificing speed and scalability
    • Hands-on mentality, willing to roll your sleeves up
    • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in highly ambiguous environment and able to independently take responsibility from day one with ability to work with little direction
