Virology Education is looking for an enthusiastic entry-level or experienced livestreaming technician to join our Production Team for livestream production, video editing, and general digital content creation to add to our portfolio of international medical education programs, including face-to-face, hybrid, virtual, and online educational initiatives. For the short-term, the role will comprise primarily of virtual event production, however as the COVID-19 pandemic eases there will be a great opportunity to travel to many parts of the world to deliver premier medical educational events to the global healthcare community.
Our mission is to support optimal patient care worldwide by facilitating medical education alongside scientific exchange and interchange to healthcare professionals in the fields of HIV, hepatitis, oncology, and more. We aim to develop these fields and support communities with continuing education and development in the respective fields. With this clear purpose and drive to keep education accessible and inclusive to all professionals who wish to participate, we operate all over the world and produce medical programs in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin Chinese, Russian and more. We strive to have a diverse and informed group of speakers and participants to enable knowledge-sharing and networking across various fields and disciplines. By including speakers and engaging participants from all ethnicities, ages, geographic locations, and genders, we aim to ensure that the knowledge shared in our programs is all-encompassing, meeting the wide-ranging needs of the global healthcare community.
Since the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, Virology Education has been committed to producing virtual and in the future, hybrid programs for the medical community.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Set up and run the live switching for virtual events using vMix;
Set up and run the live switching for hybrid events using vMix and on-site equipment;
Assist in the creation of digital content and elements for each livestream;
Contribute to the ongoing improvements in production quality and value;
Translating learning needs to audio–visual solutions which support learning retention.
Assist our in-house video editor with creating video presentations for virtual and hybrid events;
Contribute to optimizing the delivery of academic medical presentations in a video format;
Creation of short promotional videos.
Streaming live events to a virtual audience;
Filming footage for promotional content.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
1 year experience of livestreaming preferred, however a demonstrated affinity and eagerness for digital production/content and livestreaming is accepted.
We are looking for the following specific skills and knowledge:
Demonstrated knowledge of:
o Adobe Premier Pro o Adobe After Effects (optional) o VMix or OBS
Experience with virtual events is a huge plus;
Willingness to learn new skills;
Willingness to travel (required);
Professional appearance and outstanding work ethic;
Work effectively within a team;
Excellent communication skills;
Flexibility in the face of new challenges;
Diploma in AV Design or equivalent;
Demonstrated knowledge and experience accepted in absence of a Diploma.
