    Legal Assistant

    Basic-Fit’s legal team is expanding, and looking for a Legal Assistant! Are you ready to join a can-do team with big, bold plans for the future? Do you have working experience at a legal firm or department, and do you love to ensure effective and efficient support for the legal department? Then we must be looking for you!

    This is what your assignment looks like

    At our legal department, we support Basic-Fit’s international headquarter in Hoofddorp and the operations of all our markets in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Spain. As Legal Assistant, you will support the legal counsels in their work and you will independently work on your own files and responsibilities. You will report to the two Heads of Legal that manage the legal counsel team together. You will work closely together with not only the legal team, but also with other stakeholders in the Business & Operations teams.

    Your main responsibility is to provide all aspects of administrative matters, including:

    • Keeping contracts up-to-date;
    • Prepare files and analysis;
    • Assist in the completion and filing of real estate agreements and its annexes;
    • Support in the handling of consumer claims and liabilities;
    • Manage our contract management system;
    • Maintain our knowledge centre;
    • Control plannings such as holidays, agenda planning for the team, workflows;
    • Support all related administrative tasks;
    • Organise the legal administration;
    • Check and manage legal spend.

    Our legal department currently consists of 13 legal professionals under the supervision of the general counsel. We have an entrepreneurial, dynamic and informal business culture with highly motivated colleagues.

    We ask:

    You know how to work independently while being part of a team. We are looking for people who are open, friendly and highly motivated and work in a structured manner

    Furthermore, we’re asking:

    • A relevant degree for a legal assistant;
    • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar position within a law firm or in-house department;
    • Experience with contract management is an advantage;
    • You’re a down to earth, open person with an action-orientated mindset;
    • You’re available to work full-time, at least 32 hours per week;
    • Fluency in English and Dutch. Good understanding of French and/or Spanish is a big plus.
